Ben Mee and Sol Bamba will be available to Leicester manager Sven-Goran Eriksson when Bristol City visit .

Mee was knocked unconscious and Bamba suffered a nasty bang to his forehead when the central defensive pairing clashed heads during the 2-0 win at Derby last Saturday.

But both have trained this week and are likely to retain their places in Eriksson's side.

The only injury doubt surrounds Steve Howard, who is receiving treatment for an ankle knock and did not make the squad against his former club Derby.

Eriksson confirmed: "Sol and Ben will be fine. The only one not ready yet is Steve Howard. Hopefully he can return to training before Friday."

Bristol City boss Keith Millen has not ruled out starting Nicky Maynard.

Last season's leading goalscorer made his long-awaited return from a serious knee injury as a second-half substitute during the home defeat to Leeds.

Millen told the club's official website: "It is clear Nicky is unable to get match sharpness without actually playing. He is probably a yard away with his sharpness, so it is a case of seeing what we can do to get the best out of him.

"I haven't picked him in my starting XI yet. I haven't ruled out starting him. He is certainly in the squad again."

Tests have shown that Louis Carey did not suffer a broken nose against Leeds last weekend and the City captain should be okay to play.

Fellow defender Christian Ribeiro could return to the squad following a series of injuries, as should Jamal Campbell-Ryce, who has been absent with a hamstring problem.
