Widdowson: Hoping to start for Dale

Rochdale manager Keith Hill will be reluctant to make any changes.

Dale chalked up a third successive win with a comfortable 2-0 victory at Hartlepool on Friday and have no fresh injury or suspension concerns.

Defender Robbie Williams kept his place in the side at Victoria Park despite Joe Widdowson being fit again and Joe Thompson came off the bench late on following his return from a groin injury.

With safety all but secured, Hill is desperate for his side to finish as well as possible as they bid to sneak into the play-off places.

Hill said: "I'm pleased with the points we have and we are safe now, definitely on 54 points. Now we make sure we don't tail off."

Paul Benson returns to the Charlton squad.

The striker has completed a four-match ban after his second red card of the season against MK Dons earlier this month.

But he may have to settle for a place on the bench if boss Chris Powell sticks with Bradley Wright-Phillips and Frank Nouble in attack.

Winger Johnnie Jackson is still missing with an Achilles problem and defender Kelly Youga is out for the season due to a knee injury.

Young full-back Carl Jenkinson is set to miss out again after turning down a new contract.

Former Manchester United midfielder Michael Stewart could be added to the squad after he recently signed a short-term deal following a successful trial.
