Robinson: Injury doubt for Rovers

Sheffield Wednesday boss Gary Megson looks set to name an unchanged starting line-up.

Megson was delighted after he picked up his first home win as Owls boss on Saturday as they overcame Colchester 2-1 - Wednesday's first win in six matches.

Preston loanee Neil Mellor will therefore retain his starting place after netting both goals against the U's.

The only change to the squad could be the inclusion of on-loan Scunthorpe centre-back Rob Jones who is currently recovering from the concussion that kept him out at the weekend.

Richard O'Donnell will continue in goal with on-loan Wigan goalkeeper Lee Nicholls on the bench as fellow shot-stoppers Nicky Weaver (groin) and Arron Jameson (pelvis) remain sidelined.

Tranmere manager Les Parry will assess the fitness of Michael Kay, Andy Robinson and Dale Jennings.

Robinson missed Saturday's 2-0 home defeat against Huddersfield with a groin injury while Kay took a knock to his ankle during the match.

Rookie striker Jennings also sustained a calf strain against the Terriers.

However, Tim Cathalina and Robbie Weir could be passed fit as Rovers bid to bounce back from Saturday's loss and boost their fight against the drop.

Parry said: "The players have got to be mentally strong now. Every game is so important and we need a couple of wins, hopefully starting at Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday."
