Rangers will be without suspended skipper David Weir against the Jambos.

Kyle Lafferty is also out of the match at Ibrox with a hernia problem and should be back in action in around three weeks' time.

New signings Juan Manuel Ortiz and Lee Wallace could make their competitive Rangers' debuts.

Jamie Hamill is suspended for Hearts, while striker Stephen Elliott has recovered from an ear infection which kept him out of last week's friendly against Royal Antwerp.
