John Pantsil could be in line for his Leicester debut against Reading at the King Power Stadium.

The former Fulham full-back has yet to be involved this season. A work permit issue ruled him out of the Championship opener against Coventry while he missed the midweek Carling Cup tie at Rotherham as he was away on international duty with Ghana.

Fellow defender Sean St Ledger (Republic of Ireland) and midfielder Andy King (Wales) missed the Millers match for the same reason and will also bolster boss Sven-Goran Eriksson's squad for the visit of last season's play-off finalists.

However, Japan international Yuki Abe will not report back from international duty until Friday and it could be too late for him to be involved.

Lee Peltier, scorer of the winning goal against Midlands rivals Coventry, remains sidelined by the groin injury he sustained at the Ricoh Arena while striker Darius Vassell will serve the second game of a three-match ban for his red card against the Sky Blues.

Reading's Mathieu Manset could fill the void left by Shane Long's departure when they travel to Leicester.

Republic of Ireland international Long joined Premier League side West Brom for an undisclosed fee earlier this week after firing 23 goals in 47 starts last season.

Manset looks primed to start against the Foxes after coming off the bench to score two late goals to salvage a point in the Royals' league opener against Millwall.

Reading will be without injured trio Shaun Cummings, Marcus Williams and Simon Church.

Jay Tabb was due to serve the second game of his suspension against Charlton in the Carling Cup but will miss the trip to the King Power Stadium due to that tie's postponement.

Ian Harte and Andy Griffin have minor knocks but both are hopeful of starting.
