Notts County boss Martin Allen will check on a number of his players before deciding whether to name an unchanged side.

Following an impressive 3-0 win at Carlisle on the opening day of the season, Allen stuck with the same starting XI for the Carling Cup clash against city rivals Nottingham Forest.

His side produced another thrilling performance at the City Ground, losing on penalties following a 3-3 draw after extra time.

However, Allen is still assessing how much fatigue is affecting his players as a result of that first-round tie.

The likes of defender Jude Stirling, midfielder Ishmel Demontagnac and striker Craig Westcarr, who scored as a substitute against his former club Forest on Tuesday night, are available should Allen feel the need to freshen things up.

Midfielder Alan Judge is nearing fitness after a hamstring injury and could be included in the squad for the first time this season. However, defender Stephen Hunt (ankle) and forward Ben Burgess (hamstring) remain sidelined.

Danny Green and Jason Euell will be added to the Charlton squad.

Winger Green could make his first appearance since joining from Dagenham having been suspended last weekend following a red card at the end of last season.

Veteran striker Euell rejoined the Addicks this week and could make his second debut, having made made 155 appearances and scored 37 goals in his first spell at The Valley.

However, both are likely to be on the bench at best after Charlton opened the season with an impressive 3-0 win over Bournemouth.

Boss Chris Powell will check on new goalkeeper Ben Hamer, who missed out on a debut against the Cherries with a slight thumb injury.

Rob Elliot got the nod in goal despite failing to agree a new contract recently.
