Bury boss Richie Barker is missing only midfielder Steven Schumacher ahead of the home clash with Sheffield Wednesday.

Schumacher was replaced after just 31 minutes of the 3-1 win against Coventry in the Carling Cup first round last Tuesday.

He is nursing a torn calf muscle and is set for around two months on the sidelines.

The Shakers have no other concerns as they bid to bounce back from Saturday's 2-0 home defeat at the hands of Carlisle.

Barker was left bitterly disappointed with his side's performance at the weekend, saying: "We just didn't match them.

"We're still learning as staff and players, but we need to learn pretty quickly if we're going to be able to get through games like that."

Sheffield Wednesday's latest signing Chris Lines is hoping to make his first start for the club at Bury.

Former Bristol Rovers midfielder Lines signed a three-year deal last week in time to step off the bench in Saturday's defeat at Bournemouth and could start alongside summer signings David Prutton and Jose Semedo.

Manager Gary Megson has no new injury or suspension problems, but striker Chris O'Grady is not expected to make his debut following his recent arrival from Rochdale as he is still nursing a foot injury.

Skipper Rob Jones is likely to resume his partnership with Danny Batth in central defence, with Clinton Morrison up front alogside Gary Madine in O'Grady's absence.

Wednesday's last away win was at Oldham last March and they are chasing their first success on the road in seven matches.
