Aston Villa strikers Gabriel Agbonlahor and Emile Heskey have been declared fit for the derby visit of Wolves.

The duo have recovered from hamstring and groin injuries respectively which saw them substituted during last weekend's 3-1 win home success over Blackburn.

Chris Herd is favourite to replace Luke Young at right-back. Young is having talks with QPR after the clubs agreed a fee but is currently sidelined with a knee injury.

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy is poised to name an unchanged side for the third successive Premier League match.

McCarthy will have to make a change on the bench, though, after striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake suffered medial ligament damage during the midweek Carling Cup tie at Northampton.

Sam Vokes is the likely candidate to step up and provide cover for the Kevin Doyle-Steven Fletcher forward partnership as Wolves aim to maintain their 100% start to the campaign.

Aston Villa (from): Given, Guzan, Herd, Collins, Dunne, Warnock, Petrov, Delph, Heskey, Agbonlahor, Bent, N'Zogbia, Albrighton, Clark, Bannan, Ireland, Delfouneso, Makoun, Lichaj, Weimann, Hogg, Baker, Lowry.

Wolves (from): Hennessey, Stearman, Johnson, Berra, Ward, Hunt, Henry, O'Hara, Jarvis, Fletcher, Doyle, Foley, Kightly, Elokobi, De Vries, Hammill, Milijas, Craddock, Vokes.
