Murray: Set to start for Palace

Glenn Murray could return to the Palace starting line-up for the visit of the Tangerines.

The striker, a summer signing from Brighton, had missed three games with an ankle injury but came on as a substitute against Crawley in the Carling Cup.

Boss Dougie Freedman fielded several his fringe players in the 2-0 midweek win so goalkeeper Julian Speroni, defenders Paddy McCarthy and Ryan McGivern, midfielder Jonathan Parr as well as frontmen Jermaine Easter and Sean Scannell should all return.

Palace are still without full-back Nathaniel Clyne (foot), midfielders Kagisho Dikgacoi (hamstring), Owen Garvan (hip) and Alex Marrow (ankle), along with striker Steffen Iversen (hamstring).

Freedman re-signed centre-half Anthony Gardner last week but says he will not be available until next month as he works on his fitness.

Blackpool boss Ian Holloway is expected to have Elliot Grandin and Craig Cathcart available.

Winger Grandin missed last weekend's 2-2 draw at Brighton because of a foot problem and defender Cathcart was absent due to a virus.

Yet both men are set to be passed fit to face the Eagles as Holloway's side seek to maintain their unbeaten away record.

Holloway may consider ringing the changes after a trio of players came off the bench to help rescue a point at Brighton.

With Blackpool 2-0 down, Holloway replaced Chris Basham, Matt Phillips and Billy Clarke with Neal Eardley, Brett Ormerod and Craig Sutherland.

Kevin Phillips' double secured a point for the Seasiders and Holloway said: "I made the substitutions because I was totally fed up with what I was seeing."
