Schmeichel: Set to return

Schmeichel: Set to return

Leicester have goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel available again for the visit of the Championship leaders.

Schmeichel served a one-match ban against Bury in the Carling Cup in midweek following his red card in the league draw at Nottingham Forest. He is likely to replace Chris Weale in goal.

Schmeichel's return means the Foxes are pretty much at full strength, with strikers David Nugent and Darius Vassell expected to shake off the knocks that they picked up at the City Ground.

Manager Sven-Goran Eriksson made 10 changes in the cup on Tuesday night and three of those - Jeffrey Schlupp, Lloyd Dyer and Paul Gallagher - were on the scoresheet so they could have forced their way into the Swede's plans.

Defenders Paul Konchesky and John Pantsil and midfielders Andy King, Richie Wellens, Neil Danns and Gelson Fernandes are also available for recalls.

Southampton are once again without midfielder Richard Chaplow for the trip.

Chaplow serves the final game of the three-match ban he received for his sending-off as a substitute against Barnsley a fortnight ago.

Boss Nigel Adkins has named the same starting XI for the last three matches and, with no new injury worries, could stick with the side which secured wins against the Tykes, Ipswich and Millwall.

However, Adkins said this week he will have to freshen up the team at some point so Morgan Schneiderlin, Danny Fox and Steve De Ridder will come into his thinking.

Defender Radhi Jaidi (knee) and striker Lee Barnard (ankle) are yet to figure this season and will not be rushed back.
