Jones: Sidelined for Glovers

Yeovil assistant manager Nathan Jones will not participate in a playing capacity.

Manager Terry Skiverton revealed his right-hand man had suffered a broken shoulder and will be out of action for the next few weeks.

It is believed Jones suffered the injury in pre-season but battled on to feature in the Glovers' first three league fixtures.

The void left by Jones' absence could be filled by Curtis Haynes-Brown who has yet to start due to illness.

Skiverton has no other concerns and the return to fitness of Kieran Agard and Kerrea Gilbert will provide him with more options.

Both missed the last league game against Walsall but are back in training and should at least make the squad.

Sheffield United manager Danny Wilson will hand late fitness tests to midfield pair Nick Montgomery and Lee Williamson.

Williamson is struggling with a groin strain sustained in the midweek defeat at Everton, while Montgomery missed the Carling Cup tie due to a stomach bug.

But another midfielder, Ryan Flynn (calf), returned to action at Goodison Park and is in contention to start. He has been sidelined since making his debut on the opening day of the season.

Striker Chris Porter (dead-leg) is also pushing for a return to the side after stepping off the bench in last week's draw at Tranmere and featuring again at Everton.

Wilson has no other new injury or suspension worries, but midfielder Kevin McDonald, a free transfer from Burnley this summer, remains sidelined with an ankle injury and striker Ched Evans (ankle) is several weeks away from returning.
