Walker: In contention for Boro

Stevenage boss Graham Westley will pick from an unchanged squad.

Boro were unchanged from the 4-2 home win over Rochdale as they drew 1-1 at Oldham on Saturday.

Westley has some players nursing bumps and bruises but could name the same starting XI for the third straight game.

However, Stacy Long, Josh Walker and Robin Shroot will hope to have forced their way into Westley's thinking with their performances as second-half substitutes at Boundary Park.

Jon Ashton, Byron Harrison and Ben May were left out of the squad at the weekend, while winger Rob Sinclair (groin) is still sidelined.

Tuesday night's clash will be the first-ever competitive meeting between the two clubs.

Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Liam Palmer will return to the starting line-up.

Palmer began the weekend win over MK Dons on the substitutes' bench but replaced Jermaine Johnson at half-time and scored the Owls' third goal.

Defender Julian Bennett returned to the side following a hamstring strain and manager Gary Megson is expected to stick with a 4-4-2 formation and make no other changes as his side look to extend their unbeaten run to five matches.

Ryan Lowe (ankle) and fellow striker Chris O'Grady (foot) remain sidelined, while Richard O'Donnell will retain his place in goal during the continued absence of Nicky Weaver, who will be out for three months after having knee surgery.
