Jelavic: Fit to play for Gers

Dunfermline have no new injury worries ahead of the visit of Rangers, although they are still without three key senior players.

Martin Hardie will be absent after failing to recover from an ankle knock, while Kevin Rutkiewicz looks to be out for at least another two weeks as he recovers from a thigh muscle tear.

Craig Easton also misses out once more, with Ryan Thomson expected to carry on in central midfield after scoring two goals in his last two outings.

Nikica Jelavic has been passed fit to start for Rangers.

The striker came off the bench for the midweek Scottish Communities League Cup defeat at Falkirk after being a slight injury doubt beforehand.

David Weir and Lee Wallace (both hamstring) are nearing a return to action but the trip to East End Park comes too soon, while Kyle Bartley is still a couple of weeks away from a comeback after a hernia operation.

Dunfermline (from): Gallacher, Smith, J Thomson, McCann, Keddie, Dowie, Mason, Cardle, Burns, R Thomson, Kirk, Barrowman, Graham, Boyle, Potter, Willis, Buchanan, Byrne.

Rangers (from): McGregor, Whittaker, Papac, Bocanegra, Goian, Davis, Naismith, Edu, Wylde, Lafferty, McCulloch, Jelavic, Healy, Ortiz, Broadfoot, Perry, Fleck, Alexander.
