Perkins: Has a hamstring injury

Barnsley's injury woes continued this week with midfielder David Perkins the latest player set to miss the home clash with the Sky Blues.

Perkins sustained a hamstring strain in the midweek draw at Derby and will be out for several weeks.

Defender Jay McEveley was also forced off at Pride Park due to a calf problem and is doubtful, but striker Ricardo Vaz Te's early exit was down to cramp and he is available.

Midfielder Miles Addison could be in line for a recall as he has recovered from an ankle injury, while Nathan Doyle provides manager Keith Hill with an alternative option.

Matt Done and Danny Haynes (both hamstring), Craig Davies (groin), midfielders Reuben Noble-Lazarus (ankle) and Goran Lovre (knee), plus defenders Rob Edwards (hamstring) and Luke Potter (knee) all remain sidelined.

Coventry Andy Thorn has a host of players pushing for starting berths.

Midfielder Gary Deegan marked his return from a thigh injury with the equaliser to make it 1-1 in Tuesday's 2-2 draw against Blackpool, having come on as a second-half substitute to make his first appearance of the season.

Striker Clive Platt was also introduced from the bench for the second game in succession and is now ready to be considered from the off.

Fellow frontman Cody McDonald was dropped from City's XI as he continues to adjust to life following his deadline-day switch from Norwich and will be champing at the bit for involvement this time around.

Gael Bigirimana is competing for a recall having been rested for the past two matches, while midfielder Carl Baker faces around four weeks on the sidelines due to ruptured ankle ligaments.
