Wellens: Doubt for Leicester

Jermaine Beckford, Richie Wellens and Michael Johnson are injury concerns for Leicester.

All three players were forced off during the second half of their goalless draw against Middlesbrough on Wednesday night.

Beckford and Wellens have groin injuries while Johnson, who was making his first league start in over three years at the Riverside, is nursing a shoulder problem.

"We will have to assess them and see how they are for Saturday," said City boss Sven-Goran Eriksson.

"Beckford and Wellens could not run. Johnson has a shoulder problem. It is not his knee, which is a relief, but there was pain and he could not run."

David Nugent has resumed training after a month out with a hamstring injury and the striker could be included in the squad.

Derby will monitor Gareth Roberts ahead of the short trip.

The left-back was forced off with a shin injury after just 16 minutes of the 1-1 home draw against Barnsley in midweek.

Roberts faces a race against time to be for the televised clash at the King Power Stadium on Saturday evening.

Should he not make it, Rams boss Nigel Clough could have a ready-made replacement available in the shape of Kevin Kilbane.

Kilbane, who has been named in the Republic of Ireland squad for their final Euro 2012 qualifying matches against Andorra and Armenia next month, has missed Derby's last two Championship games with a hamstring problem but Clough is optimistic he will return.
