Luke Ayling and Ed Upson will return to Yeovil's line-up following suspension.

Defender Ayling and midfielder Upson served one-match bans during the 3-2 midweek defeat at Bournemouth in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy, having picked up five yellow cards apiece this season.

But the duo are set to come back into manager Terry Skiverton's starting XI.

However, Skiverton will still be without strikers Jon Obika (knee) and Andy Williams and midfielders Dominic Blizzard and Gavin Williams (knee) through injury.

Andy Williams is targeting the clash with Carlisle on October 15 as a potential comeback date, but that may prove to soon for him to recover from his ankle problem.

Meanwhile, the own goal credited to Bondz N'Gala during the loss to Bournemouth has now been credited to fellow centre-back Curtis Haynes-Brown.

Colchester continue to be without Mark Cousins and Ashley Vincent for the home tie.

Goalkeeper Cousins has missed the last two games with a shoulder injury and has still not returned to training as he continues to receive treatment, meaning Ben Williams will make his third successive start.

Winger Vincent last featured for the U's over seven weeks ago due to a knee injury but is now back in full training and looking for match practice before he is considered for first-team action.

Manager John Ward is in the process of rearranging a reserve match for next Tuesday after Oxford were forced to withdraw from a scheduled friendly.

Midfielder John-Joe O'Toole returns having completed his three-match suspension with the passing of last weekend's 1-0 victory at Chesterfield.
