Waghorn: Back in contention

Hull manager Nigel Pearson faces a selection dilemma as Martyn Waghorn is back in contention following injury.

Waghorn, on loan from Leicester, missed the goalless draw at Brighton due to a hamstring problem but returned to training this week and provides Pearson with an extra option up front.

Aaron Mclean stepped in for Waghorn against Brighton, so Pearson must decide who to start alongside Matty Fryatt.

Midfielder Corry Evans is also available again after shaking off a dead leg but winger Martin Pusic is struggling with an untimely hip injury after recently forcing his way into the side and could miss out.

Player-coach Nick Barmby was sidelined last week with a calf strain and faces a race to prove his fitness.

Pearson, whose side are hoping to climb back into the top six by extending their unbeaten league run to eight matches, has no other new injury or suspension problems.

Watford boss Sean Dyche is likely to be without on loan midfielder Michael Kightly this weekend.

The Hornets have lost their last three league matches and Kightly, who joined from Wolves limped out of Wednesday's 2-0 defeat to Leicester with a muscle injury.

Defender Lee Hodson remains in contention after recovering from a knee complaint but wasn't selected in Wednesday's squad.

Fellow defender Martin Taylor won't feature as he continues to recover from a collarbone problem which Dyche discovered is not as bad as first feared earlier this week.

Stephen McGinn is their only long-term absentee, the midfielder is still ruled out with a knee injury.
