Reading will welcome Jobi McAnuff back into the side for the visit of top-of-the-league Saints.

The winger missed his side's 2-2 draw with Derby with an ankle injury but will feature at some stage in the evening kick-off.

Manager Brian McDermott will be relieved to see another winger, Jimmy Kebe, come through 70 minutes against the Rams unscathed following a knee injury.

But he may remain without Jay Tabb, who is still recovering from concussion suffered in the 1-0 win over Burnley.

Aside from Tabb, McDermott has a fully-fit squad to choose from as his side look to extend their six-match unbeaten run and he is hoping in-form striker Adam Le Fondre can add to his goal tally.

After Le Fondre's brace against Derby, McDermott told BBC Radio Berkshire: "Adam lives to score goals. He looks after himself and he's got himself really fit and has trained hard."

Southampton will check on Adam Lallana ahead of the trip.

Lallana has missed Saints' last two matches with a foot injury but could be added to the squad when they travel to the Madejski Stadium.

Fellow midfielder Jack Cork dropped to the bench for Tuesday's 1-0 win over West Ham and may return to the starting line-up.

Boss Nigel Adkins has no new injury concerns and has welcomed striker Lee Barnard back into full training for the first time this season following an ankle injury, although he is unlikely to be involved just yet.

Radhi Jaidi remains on the sidelines after undergoing a knee operation and fellow defender Dan Seaborne is still recovering from the head injuries he suffered in an assault.
