Beausejour: Back to boost Blues

Beausejour: Back to boost Blues

Birmingham welcome back Jean Beausejour.

The Chile international winger served an automatic one-match ban against Reading, the club's last game prior to the international break, having collected his fifth booking of the season.

Beausejour is one of a handful of Chris Hughton's squad who have all returned from international duty unscathed, including Keith Fahey, Nikola Zigic and Guirane N'Daw.

Midfielder Morgaro Gomis remains sidelined with his calf problem and is targeting a return against Blackpool next Saturday.

Young midfielder Jordon Mutch has made great strides with his recovery from a broken ankle and is around two or three weeks away from making his comeback.

Birmingham's 1-0 defeat to Reading last time out ended a run of nine matches unbeaten.

Lee Tomlin and Lee Frecklington return from suspension for Peterborough.

Forward Tomlin completed a three-match ban as Posh beat Derby prior to the international break while midfielder Frecklington was also forced to miss that thrilling 3-2 victory at London Road following his red card in the previous game against Southampton.

Injury forced Craig Alcock to miss out against Derby but he is now fit. As is fellow defender Ryan Bennett, who was forced to withdraw from the England Under-21 squad last week because of a thigh problem.

Tomlin, Frecklington and Alcock are strong contenders to go straight back into the starting XI.

Striker Dave Hibbert continues his rehabilitation after more than a year out with a knee injury.
