Jackson: On the sidelines

Leaders Charlton could be unchanged.

Captain Johnnie Jackson and fellow midfielder Dale Stephens remain on the sidelines but the Addicks have no new injury worries.

Jackson is recovering from a hamstring injury and Stephens misses out against his old club after undergoing an ankle operation.

Centre-half Matt Taylor will skipper the Addicks again in the absence of Jackson while on-loan duo Hogan Ephraim and Darel Russell will fill their midfield berths.

Russell returned from a calf strain for the 1-1 draw at Walsall last weekend and came through unscathed.

Midfielder Andy Hughes and full-back Cedric Evina have not figured lately but will hope to make the bench against their former employers.

Paul Dickov is set to select from the same squad that secured an FA Cup glamour-tie with Liverpool.

Full-back Kieran Lee and top scorer Shefki Kuqi picked up minor knocks as a result of a pair of heavy challenges in Tuesday's replay triumph over Southend, but both have been passed fit.

The past week has produced mixed fortunes for two of Latics' long-term injury victims.

Bradley Diallo has spent two-and-a-half months on the sidelines with a badly torn hamstring, but the midfielder is pencilled in for a reserve-team appearance against Bolton next Tuesday.

The news is less encouraging for Reuben Reid, who was due to return to training this week from a torn thigh muscle, but a setback means the striker is still a fortnight away from a return to action.
