Sheffield Wednesday manager Gary Megson faces his weekly conundrum of choosing which of his six loan players to leave out of the squad.
Megson handed Arsenal striker Sanchez Watt his Owls debut in last week's win at Oldham while Blackpool defender Miguel Llera was omitted from the squad.
Derby goalkeeper Stephen Bywater, Wolves defender Danny Batth, Newcastle right-back James Tavernier and Stoke winger Ben Marshall all started last week and could continue as the Owls chase a sixth straight win in all competitions.
Megson has no new injury or suspension problems but striker Gary Madine remains sidelined with a broken toe, defender Lewis Buxton is still struggling with a hamstring problem and midfielder James O'Connor has not fully recovered from a badly gashed shin.
Huddersfield defender Jack Hunt has not been ruled out of the derby clash.
Hunt was stretchered off during last Saturday's home defeat to Bournemouth but X-rays and scans later revealed only heavy bruising to his ankle and the 21-year-old was able to return to full training on Thursday.
Gary Naysmith stepped in to the left-back role at the weekend with Calum Woods switching to the opposite flank and if Hunt does fail to make it they should continue in those roles.
But midfielder Damien Johnson has been ruled out of the Christmas fixture schedule with a hamstring strain. He could be sidelined for up to three weeks after sustaining the injury in Saturday's home defeat to Bournemouth.
Striker Alan Lee remains sidelined as he sits out the final game of his three-match ban. Jon Parkin, on loan from Cardiff, partnered leading goalscorer Jordan Rhodes last week but Lee Novak provides manager Lee Clark with an extra option.
Clark has no other new injury or suspension worries but goalkeeper Alex Smithies (knee) is continuing his rehabilitation after summer surgery.
