Marshall: Set to play the last game of his loan deal

Ben Marshall is expected to return to Sheffield Wednesday's starting line-up in the final game of his current loan period.

Stoke winger Marshall was refused permission to play in last week's FA Cup win over West Ham and Jermaine Johnson stepped in.

Talks are ongoing between Wednesday and Stoke about extending Marshall's stay until the end of the season.

Striker Gary Madine (broken toe) and defender Lewis Buxton (hamstring) are closing in on a return to first-team action and could play some part but Julian Bennett is unlikely to feature after sustaining a nasty facial cut against West Ham.

Newcastle defender James Tavernier, who played on the right wing last weekend, has returned to parent club Newcastle while on-loan striker Sanchez Watt is available for his last game before he is due back at Arsenal.

The Owls, with just one defeat in their last 12 games, have no new injury or suspension problems.

Ben Hamer and Leon Clarke return to the Charlton squad.

Goalkeeper Hamer was suspended for the FA Cup defeat at Fulham after a red card at Leyton Orient on New Year's Eve and will come straight back in for John Sullivan.

Striker Clarke, the recent signing from Swindon, made his Addicks debut as a substitute against Brentford last week but was cup-tied at Craven Cottage.

Boss Chris Powell has no new injury concerns but is still without midfielder Dale Stephens due to an ankle problem.

Veteran striker Jason Euell has moved to AFC Wimbledon on a month's loan and young winger Ben Davisson has left The Valley at the end of his short-term deal.
