All three goals came in the opening 10 minutes with Danny Baath and Michail Antonio scoring either side of a Miles Addison own goal. Baath gave Wednesday a fourth minute lead, sweeping the ball home from Antonio's low cross.

Addison's eighth-minute own goal made it 2-0. Chris Lines' corner was met by Rob Jones and the ball went in off the Bournemouth player. Antonio added a third goal two minutes later, bursting into the right-hand side of the area before beating Darryl Flahavan with a near-post shot.

The visitors had several chances to score before the break. Wes Thomas had a shot saved by Stephen Bywater' legs and Wes Fogden fired straight at the Wednesday goalkeeper. Thomas was then unfortunate to see an effort come back off a post.

In the second half, Mike Jones had a goal-bound header blocked by visiting defender Simon Francis after Flahavan kept out Ryan Lowe's effort.

At the other end, Bywater made a fine save to stop Addison's close-range header.
