Leaders Charlton will be without suspended midfielders Danny Hollands, Scott Wagstaff and Darel Russell for the visit of the Saddlers.

Hollands was shown a straight red card and Wagstaff two yellows as both were sent off in Saturday's 1-0 win at Oldham.

Preston loanee Russell serves the third game of the four-match ban he received for his second red card of the season against Huddersfield a fortnight ago.

The Addicks will check on winger Danny Green, who did not travel to Boundary Park as he was feeling unwell.

Skipper Johnnie Jackson was an unused substitute after recovering from an Achilles problem so he could be promoted to the starting line-up along with top scorer Bradley Wright-Phillips, who was rested.

Walsall will check on the fitness of Richard Taundry and Will Grigg.

Both had been suffering from hamstring injuries and had returned to the side against Rochdale but both were not involved in the 3-2 win against fellow strugglers Chesterfield.

Other than that, manager Dean Smith has a fully-fit squad to choose from and was boosted by the returns of Lee Beevers and Jonathan Macken against the Spireites.

Veteran striker Macken played more than an hour, while defender Beevers came through the full 90 minutes unscathed. Midfielder Adam Chambers returned to the bench and confirmed his fitness with a late substitute appearance following a heel injury.

The resurgent Saddlers go to The Valley in fine form, losing just once in 12 games and sitting four points clear of the relegation zone.
