FT: Sunderland 0 Wolves 0

Full-time. And that's the final whistle. Something of a bore draw at the Stadium of Light. Wolves at least bring their run of seven consecutive defeats under Terry Connor to an end.

90+1
Foul by Henry on Campbell gives Sunderland a late chance to put the ball in the box.

90
Bendtner heads at goal but Hennessey dives to his left to save.

89
Volleyed effort from Edwards is just wide.

89
Chance! Sessegnon fires a ball across the face of goal from the right channel and Larsson, with the goal gaping, hits it over from close range.

88
Sessegnon tries to thread the ball to Bardsley but his pass is too strong.

87 Stearman is booked for manhandling Sessegnon.

87
Campbell crosses but can only find Hennessey.

84
Stoppage as Hennessey is down. He tried to claim the ball but got knocked by his own player. After scrambling for the ball, Ward eventually bailed out his goalkeeper by clearing.

83 Zubar is on for Foley.

82
The ball is in the Sunderland net after another cross comes in but there was a foul on Mignolet there.

81
Chance! Jarvis crosses from the left and Mignolet saves well from Fletcher. The striker had a free header just seven yards out.

80
Foul by Ebanks-Blake near the Sunderland left corner flag.

79 Campbell replaces Gardner.

78
Jarvis crosses and after a brief scramble the ball is claimed by Mignolet.

77
Jarvis wins a corner.

76 Edwards on for Kightly.

76
End-to-end stuff now as both teams look for the winner. Sessegnon finding more and more space while Jarvis is starting to get on it for Wolves.

74
Chance! The game is getting a little stretched now. Gardner crosses for McClean at the far post just six yards out but his header is saved by Hennessey at point-blank range.

73
Sessegnon attempts a throughball to Bendtner and its nearly there but Hennessey is off his line well to collect.

72
Foley with a lofted ball to Ebanks-Blake near the penalty spot but the striker cannot bring the ball down.

71
Offside against Fletcher.

71
Bendtner wins a header from a rare right-footed cross from McClean. But it's wide of the far post.

70
Larsson whips the ball in but Foley clears.

69
Stearman fould Bendtner while competing for a long ball at the other end. Free-kick.

68
Ebanks-Blake sits on the ball while battling with Turner and Kilgallon for a long ball. It's eventually cleared.

67
Ward with another cross from deep. Fletcher wins the header but can get no power on it and Mignolet catches with ease.

66
Henry with a slide tackle on Colback and the home team don't like it but the referee waves play on.

64
Another excellent backheel from Fletcher puts Kightly away down the right but his cross is weak and straight at Mignolet.

63
Wolves are having a good spell at the moment and Jarvis already looks lively. Ward crosses for Ebanks-Blake but the striker heads over.

62 Jarvis replaces Forde.

62
Chance! Ebanks-Blake threads the ball in to Fletcher who pulls off a brilliant flicked turn to put Ebanks-Blake back in on goal. It's a great chance but he snatches at it and the ball flies well wide of the near post.

61
Henry's long-range effort is blocked by Gardner.

60
Forde cuts in from the left and fires a right-footed effort to Mignolet's near post but the Belgian is up to the challenge and saves neatly.

60
McClean finds a yard on Foley but his cross is caught by Hennessey.

59
Fletcher wins the flick-on but when Ebanks-Blake goes down under challenge from Turner, nothing is given.

57
Hennessey punches clear and is fouled as he does so, winning the decision.

57
McClean's left-wing cross is deflected off Stearman and Sunderland win another corner.

56
Larsson's corner is cleared as far as Bardsley but his cross is poor.

55
Foley tries to knock the ball back to Hennessey but concedes yet another corner.

54
Sessegnon really has been the only bright spark in this game so far. This time he turns brilliantly away from Davis and feeds Bendtner but when the ball comes out to the edge of the box Henry tackles well and brings the ball away.

53
Wolves probing down the left but when Ward's cross comes in, Fletcher's header is weak and Mignolet claims.

51
Forde's cross is blocked and when it comes out to Davis he miscontrols and commits the foul.

50
Excellent run and shot from Sessegnon eventually leads to a Sunderland corner but Fletcher clears.

49
More good work from Ebanks-Blake slides in Davis but his cross is straight at Mignolet.

49
McClean's ball in is too strong and will roll through for a goal kick.

48
Great run from Sessegnon in the right-channel. Eludes two challenges before crossing and Ward is forced to put the ball behind.

47
Good hold-up play by Ebanks-Blake finds Davis and Wolves get their first bit of possession in this second-half.

46
Sessegnon dropping off into the space between defence and midfield, as he was before the break, but this time Berra closes down quickly and boots clear for a throw.

46
Sunderland kick off and the second-half is underway.

The players are back on the field and we'll be getting started for the second-half shortly.

Sunderland fan Jeff remains optimistic: "Disappointing first-half with both sides giving the ball away. The first goal could be the killer and if Sunderland score it I can see Wolves' heads going down. Still sticking with a 3-0 win for The Mackems."

What did you think of that first-half? And what are you predicting after the break? Let me know by email at adam.bate@bskyb.com or on Twitter @GhostGoal.

Half-time. The referee has seen enough. It's not been a classic at the Stadium of Light. Goalless at the interval. Wolves are battling away despite a lack of quality. Sunderland just haven't done enough yet. Let's hope for a better second-half.

45+1
Forde loses the ball with a slack pass on the edge of the Wolves area but a last ditch challenge from Stearman saves the visitors.

45
There will be one minute of added time.

44
Effort from Bardsley drilled along the ground from long-range but goes wide for a goal kick.

43
Richardson goes down in the box under a challenge from Kightly but the referee waves away the penalty claims.

42
Scrappy doesn't quite do this justice. Both teams lose the ball twice each in a matter of seconds.

40
Sessegnon on the run again and finds Larsson. The winger stands the ball up to the far post but Foley does well to win the header, under pressure from Bendtner and McClean.

38
Long ball from Hennessey is flicked-on by Fletcher but runs out of play with nobody running beyond him. Wolves have very few ideas.

37
Larsson takes the free-kick but it's cleared by Fletcher and when Bardsley attempts a long-range effort it is well over the bar.

36
Bardsley punts the ball forward to Bendtner who is fouled by Berra in an aerial clash. Both men are down with head injuries.

35
Bendtner wins a flick-on from a long ball and McClean tries a bit of skill - flicking the ball over the defender before volleying well over.

34
Sessegnon gives the ball away to Fletcher and the ball finds Kightly in the Sunderland area. He attempts to twist and turn but goes down softly and nothing is given.

32
Larsson finds the head of McClean with the corner but the winger cannot get enough on it and the ball goes wide of the far post, beyond the outstretched leg of Sessegnon.

31
Sessegnon's long-range effort is just saved by Hennessey and the Wolves keeper concedes a corner.

30
Kightly twice has the chance to play a threaded pass while running at the Sunderland defence but both times the ball is scuffed and the chance is gone.

29
McClean plays a nice one-two but Stearman slide tackle on the edge of his own box is a good one and Wolves clear.

28
Misplaced passes from both sides in the space of a few seconds. It's not high quality stuff at the Stadium of Light.

27
McClean's deflected effort is caught by Hennessey after Stearman made a mess of his clearance.

26
The visitors enjoying a spell of possession without creating an opening.

24
A good attack from Wolves though as Davis lofts the ball into the path of Fletcher who lays it off for Kightly. The Wolves winger is unable to wriggle free though and when the ball comes out to Forde in a wide position, his cross is horribly overhit.

23
The home side turning the screw a little but it's still a game of few chances.

22
Larsson's cross-shot is saved by Hennessey.

21
Another good run from Sessegnon and Stearman concedes the foul in a dangerous position.

20
Better pressure from Sunderland now. Bardsley puts the ball in the box after several crosses from both flanks but it's too high for Gardner and he can only put the ball out for a goal kick.

19
Larsson fires the ball in but Hennessey punches clear.

18
Wolves looking predictably nervy at the back but it's been a slow start from Sunderland. The fans need some encouragement and a mix up between Foley and Kightly could provide it - the latter passing the ball out for a Sunderland corner.

16
Fast break again from the home side. Larsson finds Sessegnon who spreads it to the left to find McClean on the overlap but the winger's passed effort is just wide of the near post.

15
Forde whips this one in and there is a goalmouth scramble with Berra swinging wildly at the ball before the Sunderland can clear.

14
Kightly runs at Richardson and beats him but McClean does well on the cover, conceding a corner. Kightly puts the ball in and Sunderland are forced to concede again on the other flank.

12
Weak effort from Kightly now and it dribbles wide. Even start with the game being played at a fairly leisurely pace.

10
First shot on target for Wolves. Good run from Henry and although Ward cannot quite find him with a throughball it breaks for Forde 20 yards out and the youngster attempts to bend one into the far corner. It's too close to Mignolet though and he collects.

9
The visitors attacking down the right through Kightly but he loses out and Sunderland quickly break through Bendtner. The Dane feeds Larsson in the right channel but his effort is wide of Hennessey's near post.

8
Fletcher is up and the game continues with Mignolet set to launch it long.

6
First attack for Wolves now as Fletcher dodges two challenges before bumping into Gardner. No penalty given but Fletcher is still down and play has stopped for the striker to be treated.

5
Larsson whips this one in and it's misjudged by Hennessey but it eludes everyone and is out for a goal kick.

4
McClean swings the ball in and Berra is forced to put the ball out for another corner - this time on the left.

3
Another good turn by Sessegnon feeds Bendtner who spreads the play to Larsson. His cross is blocked and Wolves concede a corner.

3
Larsson's deadball is headed away well.

2
Sessegnon gets on the ball for the first time in the Wolves half and Davis concedes the free-kick.

1
Sunderland are straight on the attack, winning a couple of throw-ins down the right.

1
Wolves kick off and we are underway.

Thanks for your feedback. The players are coming out of the tunnel so we'll be getting started very soon.

Sunderland welcome back Nicklas Bendtner after a back problem. The striker has four goals in his last six Premier League games.

Connor has certainly switched things around from Wednesday when 10-men Wolves were given the run around by Arsenal. Zubar, Jarvis and Doyle move to the bench, Edwards is injured and Bassong suspended. Young Irish midfielder Anthony Forde comes in for only his third start.

At least fans of both clubs seem to be agreed on the score. Wolves fan Stuart Bowdler says: "Why would you drop Jarvis to the bench? Proves that TC doesn't have a clue!! Prediction lose 3-0."

Sunderland fan Jeff says: "We need to reverse the disappointment of the Everton debacle. I am predicting a 3-0 win for The Mackems with Bendtner scoring & Sessegnon bagging a brace."

Our friends at Sky Bet make Sunderland strong favourites for this one at 1/2. Bottom-club Wolves are 5/1 to win and the draw is available at 17/5.

Sunderland: Mignolet, Bardsley, Turner, Kilgallon, Richardson, Larsson, Colback, Gardner, McClean, Sessegnon, Bendtner. Subs: Westwood, Bridge, Kyrgiakos, Vaughan, Meyler, Campbell, Ji Dong-Won.

Wolves: Hennessey, Foley, Stearman, Berra, Ward, Kightly, Henry, Davis, Forde, Ebanks-Blake, Fletcher. Subs: De Vries, Edwards, Johnson, Jarvis, Jonsson, Zubar, Doyle.

The teams are in and will be up shortly...

Sunderland don't have a great deal to play for but Martin O'Neill is determined for his first season in charge not to end on a flat note and this is a good opportunity for the Black Cats to send the fans home happy.

Wolves need a win here to keep their slim hopes of staying in the Premier League alive. Well, to be honest they probably need five wins out of their last five and it's Manchester City up next... but Terry Connor will be aiming to pick up his first win as boss at the ninth attempt.
