Holloway: Set to make changes

Blackpool pair Matt Phillips and Matt Gilks are both expected to return to the squad for the home clash with Peterborough.

Manager Ian Holloway made 11 changes for Thursday night's Carling Cup penalty shootout defeat at Sheffield Wednesday and will revert back to something like the side that started in the 1-0 win at Hull in their opening league match.

Winger Phillips has yet to feature for the Seasiders this season as he has been on England duty at the Under-20s World Cup in Colombia while Gilks injured his ankle against Hull.

Mark Halstead, who made only his second start for Blackpool at Sheffield Wednesday, is on stand-by if Gilks fails to make it.

Defenders Stephen Crainey and Craig Cathcart missed out on Thursday due to international commitments, but are expected to return to the starting line-up.

Centre-half Ashley Eastham will not be in contention following his straight red card at Hillsborough for a professional foul.

Grant McCann comes back into the Peterborough squad for the trip to Blackpool on Sunday.

The midfielder missed the midweek Carling Cup victory over Stevenage as he was away on international duty.

McCann played the full 90 minutes as Northern Ireland beat the Faroe Islands 4-0 in a Euro 2012 qualifier in Belfast on Wednesday night.

Another addition to Darren Ferguson's squad will be new signing Josh Thompson. Posh have the young defender on a season-long loan from Celtic and he has received international clearance to play at Bloomfield Road.

Striker Nicky Ajose will remain on the sidelines. The former Manchester United trainee was forced out of the opening-day victory over Crystal Palace last weekend after just 27 minutes due to a hamstring injury.
