Woodgate: Set for a rest

Stoke defender Matthew Upson is in line to make his debut.

The former West Ham centre-back only joined the Potters last week but is set to play in place of fellow new signing Jonathan Woodgate, who will be rested.

Winger Matt Etherington is now expected to play despite injuring his shoulder against Chelsea at the weekend. Rory Delap (hamstring) and Jermaine Pennant (thigh) are doubts as Tony Pulis considers makes changes.
