Barnett: Suspended

Barnett: Suspended

Norwich will be without suspended centre-back Leon Barnett after his red card in Sunday's 1-1 draw with Stoke.

Canaries boss Paul Lambert is expected to make several changes, so defender Zak Whitbread (knee) and striker Steve Morison (groin) could feature having missed the Premier League game.

Striker James Vaughan and centre-half Elliott Ward are still sidelined after picking up minor knee injuries during pre-season.

Darren Potter will return to the MK Dons squad for the game.

The midfielder missed the 6-2 thrashing of Chesterfield on Saturday through suspension. His absence forced manager Karl Robinson to shuffle his pack within his favoured 4-2-3-1 formation.

Captain Dean Lewington moved from left-back to centre-back, with Adam Chicksen coming into the side to replace the skipper in the full-back role.

Shaun Williams, who has been operating as a centre-back so far this season, moved into his natural position of midfield, replacing Potter in the holding role alongside Stephen Gleeson.

Robinson is unlikely to make many changes at Carrow Road, but Potter's return could see another re-jig.

Luke Chadwick was rested against Yeovil last midweek due to a slight knock and was only deemed fit enough for the bench on Saturday. He is another option for Robinson along with fellow midfielders Daniel Powell, George Baldock and James O'Shea.
