Northampton boss Gary Johnson is waiting on the fitness of several players ahead of the game.

Town are nursing a few knocks following the weekend defeat to Cheltenham, with Ashley Westwood and John Johnson amongst those players who are doubts.

"We've got a few little niggles at the moment that we are going to have to keep our eye on," said Johnson. "We need to assess the walking wounded and just make a decision on who we might need to just pull out and which ones we need to put in.

"Ashley Westwood and John Johnson are both still struggling a little bit and there are a couple of other players who are carrying little knocks.

"It's another important game against Morecambe on Saturday so we just need to have a look at it."

Midfielders Kevin Thornton and Paul Turnbull could be among those players set to come back into contention for a starting place.

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy will ring the changes for the game.

The likes of Dorus De Vries, Jody Craddock, George Elokobi, Kevin Foley, Nenad Milijas, Adam Hammill, Michael Kightly and Sylvan Ebanks-Blake are set to get a run-out against the League Two side at Sixfields.

Wanderers are looking to maintain their 100% start to the season, having made it two wins out of two so far in the Premier League with Sunday's 2-0 win over Fulham at Molineux.

Wolves (from): Hennessey, Stearman, Johnson, Berra, Ward, Hunt, Henry, O'Hara, Jarvis, Fletcher, Doyle, De Vries, Ebanks-Blake, Foley, Elokobi, Zubar, Hammill, Milijas, Kightly, Craddock, Davis, Vokes.
