Birmingham will be without captain Stephen Carr and fellow defender Curtis Davies for the trip to Slovenia.

The pair both suffered knee injuries in the 1-1 Championship draw with Barnsley last Saturday but manager Chris Hughton was relieved to learn that neither require significant recovery time.

Davies is set to be replaced by former Spain international Pablo Ibanez at centre-back with utility man Jonathan Spector likely to stand in for Carr at right-back.

Blues (from): Myhill, Doyle, Murphy, Caldwell, Ridgewell, Ibanez, Hubbins, Burke, Beausejour, Gomis, Fahey, Redmond, Spector, N'daw, Elliott, King, Rooney, Zigic, Asante, Wood.
