Jordon Mutch returns to Birmingham's squad for their decisive Group H tie.

The promising young midfielder has been out of action since August having suffered a broken ankle but after getting plenty of training under his belt is now in contention, although he is likely to be eased back in.

Veteran right-back Stephen Carr will be rested, as is usually the case in Europe, while left-back Liam Ridgewell (thigh) is nearing his comeback but the game comes too soon.

Manager Chris Hughton has rotated his ranks to good effect in Europe and he must again decide how many changes to make in matchday six, the final round of group fixtures which will decide the club's fate.

City currently sit three points adrift of both Club Brugge and SC Braga knowing only victory against bottom club Maribor at St Andrew's and success for Braga in Belgium will see them progress into the knockout stages.
