Dundee United will be without Sean Dillon for the visit of Falkirk in the Scottish Communities League Cup.

The Irish defender has been suffering from a calf tear and has been unable to resume training. Danny Swanson is also absent because of a medial ligament strain.

Long-term absentee Scott Severin remains sidelined with a broken leg.
