Hibernian will be without on-loan Richie Towell as he can't face his parent club.
The unavailability of Towell, who is in his second spell on loan at Easter Road, means manager Colin Calderwood must change the side which beat St Mirren 3-2 in the SPL on Saturday.
Mark Brown is set to start in place of Graham Stack, continuing as goalkeeper for the League Cup campaign, while Calum Booth could return following a knock.
Glenn Loovens and Mohamed Bangura are missing for Celtic.
Bangura will see a specialist on Wednesday about a knee problem which could require surgery.
Loovens picked up a hamstring injury in Sunday's 2-1 win over Aberdeen at Celtic Park and will be out for a week to 10 days.
