Sidorenco wins a corner off Lescott.
Stunning skill from Walcott as he turns away from his man but then runs out of ideas in the box and goes to ground without any joy.
But he is playing in midfield with Carrick moving to centre-back. Clearly got a problem but will stay out there.
Terry is down for England and that will be a concern with all three subs having been made and another game on Tuesday. He's going to battle on.
Goal! James Milner scores his first for England! Good break from Walcott but then the visitors look like they are guilty of overplaying through Cleverley and Welbeck before Milner puts his foot through the ball and makes it 4-0.

Moldova stroking the ball around at the back and England content to allow them to do just that at present.

Sloppy defending from England. Terry blocks Gatcan's shot but they struggle to clear. Then Oxlade-Chamberlain gives it away. They're giving the home crowd some encouragement right now.
More possession from England but not looking particularly urgent about their build-up play - they have Ukraine on Tuesday.
This time Johnson gets the header to Hart right and England build again.

England kick-off in this second half and we are back underway.
Carrick is on for Gerrard.
Bob from Orlando has been back in touch: "4-0 looking pretty good... how about Defoe and a Lampard hat-trick?!"
Daniel: "I've changed my mind 5-0 England."
Half-time. Not much added time here. England with a deserved 3-0 lead after a dominant display. No upset here. Job done.

Poor passes from Oxlade-Chamberlain and Milner in quick succession and this looks to be Moldova's first positive spell of the game. England losing a bit of momentum and they'll want to pick things up again soon.

Milner crosses and Namasco punches clear then saves well from Oxlade-Chamberlain on the volley.
Oxlade-Chamberlain knocking some lovely balls crossfield for Johnson. Space on the flanks and the marking from Moldova in the middle is poor. There'll be more chances for England this evening that's for sure.

Anthems done. England's World Cup campaign is about to start.
Anyway, thanks for your feedback. The players are on the pitch and we'll be underway shortly.
Joe has emailed in to say he's going for 2-1 Moldova. Well that would be interesting.
Can certainly appreciate that argument. Hodgson perhaps feels all of his midfield here can afford to get forward and try to get that all-important goal? Carrick more useful against stronger opposition maybe.
Another Daniel has been in touch. This one says: "Who is going to sit in that midfield trio? None of them are disciplined enough to do it. Carrick should have been in there for one of Gerrard or Lampard."
Four clean sheets for England in seven games under Hodgson suggests this will just be a matter of getting that goal. Big chance for Oxlade-Chamberlain to take centre-stage tonight too. He'll have some freedom in this formation to try and make things happen.
Daniel says: "I think the score will be 2-1 to England."
Baines retains his place from the friendly against Italy so will deputise for the injured Cole. You'd fancy this would suit the Everton man as he's sure to have lots of attacking to do tonight.
Hodgson on the other hand is technically (shootouts aside) unbeaten in seven games as England boss.
Gabriel says: "Unfortunately I'll miss this game as I'm going to a comedy night tonight but think England should win this one fairly comfortably. This game does have a potential banana-skin feel to it because of the conditions and the number of key players we've got injured but you've got to fancy England to beat a side that haven't qualified for major tournaments. I'll go with goals from Gerrard and Oxlade-Chamberlain to nip this game in the bud for England. Looking forward to seeing the highlights later!"
Hodgson has been trying to talk up Moldova in the build-up to this game by mentioning their narrow defeats to Holland but it's hard to make a case for the home side. The only team they have beaten in their last 12 was San Marino... that's also the only team they've scored against in their last eight.
Jermain Defoe with the lone forward role that he has been occupying for Tottenham early on this season. He wins his 50th cap this evening and will fancy his chances of adding to his 16 England goals.
Jamie Redknapp: "I'm expecting an England win but I don't think it will be that easy. Moldova will sit back and make it difficult for us and Eastern European players tend to be able to keep the ball well, too. But I think we'll have too much for them and win 2-0." That's available at 4/1 with Sky Bet.
If you fancy a bet on this one you can back England at 1/4 with our friends at Sky Bet while Moldova are outsiders at 14/1. The draw - for which the home side will reportedly receive a hefty bonus - is 4/1.

Joking aside, it's a 4-5-1 for England and with Cleverley in there you'd fancy the visitors will try and dominate possession. How easy that will be on this pitch remains to be seen but England have shown in recent years that they can get the job done in qualifying as well as anyone.
England: Hart; Johnson, Terry, Lescott, Baines; Milner, Lampard, Gerrard, Cleverley, Oxlade-Chamberlain; Defoe.
So Roy Hodgson's brave new world for English football is... Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard in midfield together. I've got a good feeling about this. Brazil here we come. And, more immediately, full team news to follow.
Welcome to our live commentary of England's opening World Cup qualifier against Moldova in Chisinau.
