FT: Scotland 1 Macedonia 1

The pressure mounts on Craig Levein as Scotland's World Cup qualifying campaign is potentially already left in tatters following a 1-1 draw with Macedonia at Hampden Park. That is two points from six and two home games. Mass boos at the final whistle. Stay with us for all the post-match reaction and player ratings.

90 + 3
FULL-TIME: SCOTLAND 1 MACEDONIA 1

90 + 2
But Scotland now have a corner. Adam curls his delivery and Bogatinov's sloppy punch just about does the job of clearing the danger.

90 + 1
The few Scotland fans still left at Hampden are cheering their team desperately for a winner. But there has not been much sign it will materialise.

90
ADDED TIME: There will be a minimum of three minutes added time before the final whistle.

89
Ibraimi, who had a good game, is replaced by Tasevski.

88
Levein is stood on the edge of his technical area and is waving his players forward. He looks nervous.

87
Communication breakdown between Naismith and Dixon. The former plays the pass for his team-mate's non-existent run.

86
Nice stepover from Maloney inside the penalty area but his second touch is too heavy and he cannot catch up with the ball.

85
Silly challenge from Adam allows Ibraimi to go to ground for a free-kick and to run down the clock.

84
Macedonia are happy with the point. They have forgotten about attacking and are just trying to run down the clock.

83
Another corner to Scotland. Naismith can only really stand up a header from the corner of the six-yard box and Bogatinov can gather.

82
A corner is awarded to Scotland and from the set-piece Caldwell gets his head to the ball. His effort at goal drifts just wide.

81
Into the final 10 minutes and a vital period for Scotland to try and keep their World Cup hopes from fading.

80
Scotland keep the pressure on at the second ball after a long throw-in and Berra can flick it on inside the penalty area. Naismith cannot quite get to the ball.

79
Shumulikoski is rightly booked after 'taking one for the team' when Scotland were breaking through Forrest.

78
Naismith on for Mackie

77
Lovely cross from Forrest and it looks as though Rhodes is set to head Scotland in front. But he takes his eye of the ball at the back post when under pressure from Georgievski and misses the ball.

76
Macedonia win a corner and there is a header at goal. McGregor catches right underneath his crossbar.

75
Rhodes wants a free-kick after going down under pressure from a challenge from behind. But referee Karasev is not interested.

74
It is a scrappy passage of play and now Macedonia are guilty of giving the ball away.

73
That chance has rocked Scotland a little bit. They have lost a bit of momentum and a few passes are going astray. It looks like there is a certain degree of a lack of confidence among the squad

72
What a save again from McGregor! He stops with his feet when one-on-one with Ivanovski. Combined with the Serbia game, the goalkeeper's contribution has prevented several certain goals.

71
Maloney bursts down the left but cannot quite keep the ball in play. Scotland are pushing for a winner to, realistically, keep their campaign alive.

70
Macedonia make a change. Gligorov is off and replaced by the experienced Shumulikoski.

69
A quick free-kick lets Adam get down the right and cross to the near post. Rhodes arrives at pace and heads just into the side-netting. Scotland are enjoying this passage of play.

68
The changes have improved the atmosphere on the pitch and in the stands. Scotland are on the front foot at the moment.

67
It looks like Scotland have switched to 4-4-2, with Rhodes and Mackie up top.

66
Rhodes comes on in place of Morrison.

65
It will be interesting to see if Scotland try and change their attack. They cannot keep the ball in attacking areas with just one man up front.

64
Fans cheer as an image of Rhodes getting ready to come onto the pitch appears on the big screens at Hampden Park.

63
Ivanovski has the chance to cross from the left. Berra, though, gets a vital, flicked header to the ball.

62
Macedonia have been quite impressive this evening. They have attacked when given the chance but are very disciplined and keep their shape well when defending.

61
Sikov takes on the shot from the free-kick, which is 30 yards from goal. He only blasts it into the wall.

60
Adam is booked within a minute of being on the pitch for a dangerous studs up challenge on Pandev. He won the ball but it is against the rules to tackle with such force.

59
On comes Adam in place of Miller. Safe to say the Scotland fans are not happy with the change.

58
Scotland half clear the corner to the edge of the box, from where Hasani smacks an effort against the post. A flag for offside was up anyway.

57
Macedonia again break forward with a threat through Pandev. Georgievski has charged forward and is only denied a shot on target from close range by a superb saving tackle from Berra.

56
Macedonia enjoy almost a minute of keep ball before Hasani gives away possession when attempting to nutmeg Hutton.

55
The word from the touchline is that Scotland are getting ready to bring on Adam.

54
Macedonia break and Scotland are massively exposed. Hutton, though, does very well to get back and block the run of Hasani.

53
Maloney takes the free-kick and swings the ball into the box. Noveski, again, wins the header before Scotland get a corner.

52
Referee Karasev has not had the best of games.

51
Handball called against Gligorov on the right corner of the Macedonia box. Pandev and Gligorov are both booked for their protests.

50
It is a bit of a mess on the edge of the Scotland box as Macedonia look to get the ball through to Ibraimi. But the home team eventually scramble the ball clear.

49
Pandev has shown all of his class in this almost 50 minutes we have played. His control has been immaculate.

48
Left-back Dixon takes his turn to attack. He tries his luck from 25 yards and Bogatinov does well to collect the skidding effort.

47
Again Hutton gets away down the right. But his first touch is a little heavy and goalscorer Noveski is able to get across and intercept.

46
Forrest sends in a cross from the right but there is only Miller as a target while Mackie arrives late. Scotland do lack an aerial threat in attack.

45
Traditional Hampden roar as the second half starts. Scotland will need their fans to keep the faith as they set about trying to take the lead.

WE'RE BACK: Macedonia get the second half under way.

Noveski had put Macedonia in front with a goal which looked distinctly offside. But Miller equalised before half-time. Scotland are booed off at the break. Do not forget this is a must-win game for Levein's men. The pressure is still on the Scotland boss.

45 + 3
HALF-TIME: SCOTLAND 1 MACEDONIA 1

45 + 2
Hasani leads Macedonia on an attack and attempts to beat Hutton. But the Aston Villa defender does enough to prevent any crossing opportunity.

45 + 1
Nice pass from Caldwell into the run down the right of Hutton. But the full-back's cross is disappointing and straight at the first defender. Again, that area down Macedonia's left looks a weak spot.

45
ADDED TIME: There will be a minimum of three minutes added time before half-time.

Mackie breaks the offside trap down the right and shows great awareness and execution to roll a pass across the face of the goal to leave Miller with a one-touch tap-in. Hampden Park is very relieved.

44
GOAL MILLER (1-1)!!!

43
Forrest can skip past a couple of defenders and dinks a cross to the back post. Mackie had made a dart towards the front stick.

42
From the free-kick, Scotland build the ball up on the edge of the box. But Macedonia are back and in a good shape. There is no way through for Morrison.

41
Hasani has only been on the pitch four minutes but he has already been booked after an outrageous challenge on Hutton, who had skipped the ball away too quickly for the Macedonian.

40
Caldwell clobbers Pandev from behind before barking orders at one of his team-mates. He does not look very happy.

39
Scotland have had more than 60 per cent possession. But, as against Serbi, they do not have any cutting edge.

38
A long ball from Dixon towards Miller but it is a comfortable header to win for Sikov.

37
Trickovski is stretchered off the field and is replaced by Hasani

36
Trickovski is down holding the back of his right leg. It looks like his match could be over. Scottish fans are booing, again.

35
Morrison does well to keep the ball when faced by banks of Macedonian defenders on the edge of the box. But he is forced a long way down field and closer to the halfway line.

34
Maloney curls the ball over the wall from the free-kick but it is straight at Bogatinov, who can punch clear.

33
Maloney wins a free-kick on the left-hand corner of the Macedonia penalty. Good chance for a shot at goal.

32
With Scotland needing a goal, Pandev is getting more room and is causing problems.

31
Scotland break up field and win a corner. Maloney's set-piece is met by Webster. But he has to go backwards to make contact and his effort at goal loops harmlessly wide.

30
Brilliant from Pandev as he beats Hutton and Maloney before threading a pass to Ibraimi. But, like against Serbia, McGregor saves brilliantly when one-on-one.

29
Now it is a free-kick to Scotland on the halfway line after Hutton is tripped. It is played short and then backwards.

28
The home fans are screaming for a penalty following a collision between Mackie and Popov. But replays suggest it was probably a foul against Mackie if anything. Referee Karasev waves play on.

27
Scotland are having a bit of joy down the right-hand side when Hutton is overlapping Forrest. It might be an idea to keep trying with that tactic.

26
Play is back under way again. This is becoming very scrappy from Scotland. The crowd are not impressed and players seem to be nervous as a result.

25
Another break in play, as Ivanovski is down in the penalty area. It was a collision with McGregor at a headed back-pass from Webster. McGregor won the ball but it looked like he intentionally left his leg hanging a little bit. The Scotland goalkeeper is also hobbling.

24
Dixon is back on the pitch after receiving treatment. He was very lucky he was not seriously injured.

23
A horrible, studs-up challenge from Ibraimi on Dixon's shins earns a yellow card. That could have been a red. It is the sort of challenge which can break legs.

22
Mackie has the chance to cross from the right and looks to pick out Miller. The ball does not find its desired target and then Forrest produces an air-kick at the back post.

21
Scotland just about survive the corner as McGregor blasts the ball up field. Caldwell, though, is caught in possession.

20
Dixon is lucky not to be booked for a clumsy challenge. From the resulting free-kick, Macedonia win a corner.

19
Pandev charges forward unchallenged with the ball before Ibraimi mishits another effort. Scotland fans boo as the ball goes out of play.

18
Scotland fans at Hampden sound frustrated and have not liked what they have seen so far.

17
Ibraimi has McGregor scampering across his line with an 18-yard left foot effort. The Macedonian does not quite generate the necessary curl to get the ball on target.

16
For those doubting Miller's inclusion, there has been little to suggest it has been the right decision from Levein. Scotland are struggling to find the lone striker and then when he has the ball he either lacks the strength or pace to keep hold of possession.

15
Groans around Hampden as Dixon gives the ball away with a stray pass.

14
A glorious attempted pass from Pandev almost plays in Ivanovski. But there was a little too much weight on the ball. Great vision from Pandev.

13
Levein is looking less than impressed. But Scotland were also guilty of some poor defending. Trickovski was able to break free and cross with a little too much ease down the Macedonia left.

Terrible start for Scotland as Noveski makes it 1-0 to Macedonia. It looked very much as if he was offside when tapping in Trickovski's low cross. But the match officials waved play on.

11
GOAL NOVESKI (0-1)!!!

10
Hutton has to be alert at the back post. To head away a Georgievski. Corner to Macedonia.

9
Dixon has picked up where he left off against Serbia. He intercepts a header and charges up field when looking to attack. He looks a good player.

8
Mackie whips in a dangerous cross from the right. Miller lets the ball go and Forrest does not attack the ball at the back post by taking a gamble. It drifts out for a goal-kick.

7
But Scotland do not properly clear and Trickovski has an effort deflected just wide. McGregor was struggling. From the resulting corner, there is a bit of a scramble before Scotland just about hoof the ball up field.

6
Good defending by Berra, as he attacks the ball to head away Popov's long throw.

5
Nice build-up from Scotland results in Caldwell sending a left-foot effort drifting over the cross bar from the edge of the box after being teed up by Miller.

4
West Brom fans will want to keep an eye on Goran Popov this evening. The defender moved to The Hawthorns on loan towards the end of the transfer window.

3
Caldwell shows Pandev he means business with a fairly blatant kick in the back of his legs close to the halfway line. Caldwell did not want to let Pandev turn.

2
Dixon, who was man of the match against Serbia, again does well to get down the left from full-back and produce a cross. Unfortunately for Scotland, it is straight at a defender.

1
Scotland look long towards Miller. He does not stand much chance if dealing with assistance like that tonight. Scotland were guilty of giving away possession against Serbia and must improve on that.

KICK-OFF: Scotland get the game going.

19.52
Scotland and Macedonia emerge from the tunnel at Hampden Park. Once the national anthems are complete, it will be time for kick-off.

James Kerr says: "Can't believe Levein has left Jordan Rhodes on the bench again. Sorry but Levein needs to get back to reality. Kenny Miller is past his best. Time to make way for Jordan Rhodes. If Scotland don't win tonight, I think Levein should walk away."

Craig Levein on his team selection: "It is tactical and, in a way, to try and freshen things up."

19.44
Macedonia have won only once in their last eight matches (D4 L3). They have not won any of their last six away games (D2 L4) - scoring only twice.

19.43
Referee: Sergey Karasev

19.43
The obvious danger man in the Macedonia team is Napoli's Pandev. He won the UEFA Champions League while at Inter Milan a few years ago. It is widely assumed Caldwell will be the man to sit on the forward and prevent him from making the game tick.

19.39
Macedonia team: Martin Bogatinov, Daniel Georgievski, Goran Popov, Nikolce Noveski, Vance Sikov, Ivan Trickovski, Goran Pandev, Nikola Gligorov, Muhamed Demiri, Agim Ibraimi, Mirko Ivanovski Subs: Boban Grncarov, Velice Shumulikoski, Ristikj Stevica, Ferhan Hasani, Tome Pacovski, Aleksandar Lazevski, Daniel Mojsov, Darko Tasevski, Dragan Georgiev, Kristijan Naumovski.

19.34
Scotland team: Allan McGregor, Alan Hutton, Paul Dixon, Christophe Berra, Gary Caldwell, James Morrison, Andy Webster, Kenny Miller, Jamie Mackie, Shaun Maloney, James Forrest. Subs: Charlie Adam, Robert Snodgrass, Steven Naismith, David Marshall, Grant Hanley, Jordan Rhodes, Don Cowie, Graham Dorrans, Ross McCormack, Craig Samson, Richard Foster, Matthew Phillips.

19.26
Despite the disappointing result against Serbia, Scotland are not bad at home. They are unbeaten in six matches (W4 D2) - scoring 11 and conceding four. The last four teams to beat Scotland on their own patch were heavyweights Spain, The Netherlands, Argentina and Italy.

19.20
Goalkeeper Allan McGregor is able to retain his place between the sticks for tonight's clash despite struggling with a recurrence of a groin problem.

19.18
There have been significant changes to the Scotland team. Mackie, Maloney and Forrest are all starting. Naismith, Adam and Snodgrass are the men dropping to the bench. Full line-ups to follow.

19.12
Scotland and Macedonia have only met twice before; in qualifying for the 2010 World Cup. On both occasions, the home teams were victorious (Scotland won 2-0, Macedonia won 1-0).

19.07
Macedonia, though, will be no pushovers. Cedomir Janevski's side lost narrowly 1-0 to Croatia in their opening game and will be tough opponents tonight in Glasgow.

19.05
Scotland boss Craig Levein has been under pressure for his tactics and selections following the stalemate with Serbia. We could expect changes tonight. It is really a must-win game for Scotland if they are to stay in touching distance of the frontrunners in Group A. They do not want to have not won a game ahead of October's away double-header against Wales and Belgium.
