Loach: Suspended for the Hornets

Teenage goalkeeper Jonathan Bond will make his full debut for Watford.

The 18-year-old academy product played the final eight minutes of Monday's 2-0 Championship defeat to Portsmouth at Fratton Park after number one Scott Loach was sent off.

With Loach now suspended for one match, Bond steps in hoping to help guide the Hornets into the fourth round.

Manager Sean Dyche is also without loan trio Michael Kightly, Nyron Nosworthy and Craig Beattie after they each returned to their parent clubs following the defeat to Pompey.

Winger Kightly and centre-back Nosworthy had nailed down regular starting spots in Dyche's XI and the Hornets boss will be forced to shuffle his ranks somewhat, with the likes of John Eustace and Lloyd Doyley coming into contention.

Fringe strikers Chris Iwelumo and Joe Garner will also be hoping to get some minutes under their belts against League Two opposition.

Bradford will be without midfielder David Syers.

The 24-year-old was shown a straight red card for a challenge on Nicky Wroe in the 3-1 win over Shrewsbury on New Year's Eve and he will begin a three-match ban after the FA rejected the Bantams' appeal against the decision.

Syers' absence could mean Ricky Ravenhill and Ritchie Jones start in central midfield. Lee Bullock, who has not started a game since the first day of the season after suffering a serious thigh injury but has come on as a substitute in the last two games, is also an option.

Skipper Michael Flynn recently had a spell in hospital due to a virus and is likely to miss out again, along with winger Kyel Reid (hamstring).
