Davidson: Fitness race

St Johnstone are optimistic midfielder Murray Davidson will recover from an ankle injury.

Defender Dave Mackay is suspended after his sending off in the original tie at Tynecastle, but the Perth side have no fresh injury worries.

Following Saturday's 5-1 loss to Dundee United in the Scottish Premier League, Saints boss Steve Lomas could also opt for a change of goalkeeper with Alan Mannus a possible replacement for Peter Enckelman.

Midfielder Ian Black is suspended as Hearts seek to advance to the quarter-finals.

Winger David Templeton could return after missing the 1-1 draw at Kilmarnock with a groin problem, while right-back Jamie Hamill is permitted to play as his suspension following his sending-off at Rugby Park will be applied in the Scottish Premier League.

Goalkeeper Marian Kello remains unavailable for selection due to a dispute with the club's board and striker Kevin Kyle (hip) is a long-term absentee.
