Thanks for all your comments today folks! Don't forget, you can always follow me on Twitter: @RazMirza or send me your views so speak to you all soon!

FULL TIME: Massive disappointment for the ten men of Spurs, but a valuable point for Aston Villa to help with their fight against relegation. Ciaran Clark's deflected effort opened the scoring for the home side before Danny Rose was sent off the field by referee Lee Probert for a horrible looking challenge on ex-Spurs player Alan Hutton. However, Spurs hit back with Emmanuel Adebayor scored from the spot after Richard Dunne brought down Sandro. Villa are three points ahead of the drop zone now and with their better goal difference, it looks like they're just about safe. Meanwhile, Spurs and Arsenal will battle it out for third spot next weekend. Harry Redknapp's men are at home to Fulham while Arsenal travel to West Brom.

90+7
The clock ticks and VIlla have a throw. Referee Lee Probert finally blows his whistle for full-time.

90+1
Alex McLeish is up on his feet as William Gallas is caught by Nathan Delfouneso for a free-kick on halfway.

90
We're going to have SIX MINUTES of stoppage time at Villa park. Still no Jermain Defoe for Spurs!

Corner number 19 for Spurs now...I think, and James Collins heads away.

85
Ciaran Clark looks for the run of Nathan Delfouneso and still Harry Redknapp hasn't made a change with both Jermain Defoe and Scott Parker close to coming on moments ago.

84
Emmanuel Adebayor fells Stephen Warnock for a free-kick to Villa.

83
N'Zogbia is hobbling off the field, but is quickly back on and he'll need to because McLeish has made all his changes.

82
Charles N'Zogbia is down on the ground and in need of some attention.

81
Gareth Bale twists and turns before firing hsi right-foot shot towards goal but Shay Given holds on.

80
Gareth Bale picks out Rafael Van der Vaart on the edge of the box, but the Dutchman fails to hit the target.

79
Once again Villa clear their lines well. Amazing how well the home side have done at set pieces today as that has been their Achilles heel this season.

78
At the other end Spurs win a 14th corner but Van der Vaart's outswinger is headed out until Sandro ball back into the box deflects away for another corner.

77
SO CLOSE! N'Zogbia's inswinger is headed towards goal by Richard Dunne, but the ball rebounds off Younes Kaboul and back off the Villa defender for a goalkick.

76
A massive final 15 minutes for both these teams! Can somebody claim all three in the closing stages? Charles N'Zogbia wins his side a corner.

75
Carlos Cuellar's right-wing cross is well cleared and now N'Zogbia is penalised for a push on Bale.

74
Villa have won just once at home in their last 12 league games as anxious home fans look on.

73
Spurs are taking the game to Villa as Aaron Lennon - who hasn't scored since January, fires his shot wide.

72
Villa are lacking experience up front and McLeish has used all three of his substitutes this afternoon.

71 SUBSTITUTION: The sub is subbed as Andreas Weimann - on the field for just 17 minutes, is replaced by Nathan Delfouneso.

70
Good keeping once again from Given as he collects at the feet of Emmanuel Adebayor. It's four years since Villa last won this fixture folks!

68
Spurs win their 13th corner of the game and this time Given punches clear.

67
Natasha Tweets: "COYS. Even with 10 men you can do it!"

64
Eric Lichaj clears Rafael Van der Vaart's inswinger and now Ciaran Clark concedes a corner.

Defoe is now not coming on and Adebayor is clattered by Richard Dunne.

The striker steps up and makes no mistake from 12-yards as he sends the ball to the right with Shay Given going the other way. Game on!

62 PENALTY GOAL! Aston Villa 1 Tottenham 1 (Emmanuel Adebayor 62).

61 PENALTY GIVEN! Richard Dunne brings down Sandro and referee Lee Probert points to the spot.

60
Jermain Defoe is preapring to come on as Sandro's strike deflects away for a corner.

58
Stephen Warnock, Richard Dunne, James Collins and Carlos Cuellar are Villa's back four now. Plenty of experience for the home side.

57
Spurs have shown in the past they can win games at Villa Park with 10 men.

56
Tal Tweets: "Come on Villa!! I hate Alex McLeish but boy will he do Arsenal a favour if they pull this off!"

55
Ten man Spurs break through Emmanuel Adebayor, but his weak effort is collected by Shay Given.

54
Harry Redknapp sais there would be twists and turns before the end of the season and he's right with that comment.

53 SUBSTITUTION: Alan Hutton is replaced by James Collins, so Carlos Cuellar will move across to full-back.

52
The Scot is still in trouble and looks like he will have to come off.

51 SUBSTITUTION: Andreas Weimann replaces Emile Heskey as Villa make a change while Hutton gets attention.

50
The Scot is in need of medical attention and it could easily have been a leg breaker!

49 RED CARD: Danny Rose is sent off by referee Lee Probert for a horrible challenge on Alan Hutton.

48
Stuart Tweets: "Great fight from Villa.Ireland and Heskey leading the fight another 45 like that please!" Danny Rose's cross is headed out by Eric Lichaj.

47
Spurs very nearly make a fine start to the half as Bale's ball into the ball causes problems and very nearly falls to Adebayor.

46
Villa get the second half underway. They've dropped 27 points from winning positions in the league this season, so what are the odds on this staying as it is I wonder?

1505
And Dylan adds: "Let's go villa big arsenal supporter. Cmon Villa!"

1503
Joe from Birmingham says: "If we can hold this lead, or even double it, we will stay up for sure. Just hoping McLeish tells the boys to come out and play, and not put 10 behind the ball as per usual."

1458
Sam emails in to say: "Raz, what is going on, think Harry needs Fergie's hair dryer!"

1457
If you'd like to air your views during the second half, email Raz...that's me! at razwan.mirza@bskyb.com or Tweet me: @RazMirza and I'll publish as many as I can.

1455
Aston Villa are now 10/11 to claim victory with @Skybet, who make Tottenham 3/1 and the draw 2/1. My pre-match prediction of 1-3 to Spurs, which was 14/1 is now 16/1. Head now to www.skybet.com to place your bets.

HALF TIME: Villa lead at the break thanks to Ciaran Clark's deflected strike which came off William Gallas and wrongfooted goalkeeper Brad Friedel. Spurs have looked dangerous in attack and came closest to scoring when Gareth Bale's shot was superbly palmed away by Shay Given. It's been a stoic defensive display from Villa so far. Can they hold on to their lead in the second half?

45+4
The ball in comes to nothing and referee Lee Probert blows his whistle for the break.

45+3
Still we play on as Herd finds Ireland and Villa win a corner now.

45+2
Tottenham win a late corner in this half - a ninth corner, and once again Rafael Van der Vaart's inswinger is too close to Given.

45+1
Heskey and Sandro are both ok and play will get back underway.

45
GREAT BLOCK! Sandro makes a superb block as Hesky looked to get his right-foot shot away from the edge of the area.

44
A straight ball catches Spurs out again but Chris Herd fails to make the most of the opportunity and the visitors win the ball back.

43
JUST WIDE! Spurs play the short corner and the ball works its way to Rafael Van der Vaart, but his bending left-foot strike is just wide of the far post.

42
Bale's cross from the left is blocked by Hutton for a throw and now the Welshman's second cross is deflected out for a corner now.

41
It's been a heroic first half performance from Villa this as Heskey and Ireland combine.

40
Stephen Warnock slams the ball clear from underneath his own crossbar.

39
Sam from Belfast says: "C'mon Spurs, don't blow this! Need to show our class!

38
Spurs have only come from behind to win a game once this season and that was in the West Midlands - at West Brom.

37
TOP SAVE! Shay Given makes an outstanding one handed save at his near post to deny Gareth Bale a certain equaliser for the visitors.

A goal out of nothing for the home side! Charles N'Zogbia picks out Clark in space and his shot from 25-yards takes a heavy deflection off William Gallas' head and past the helpless Brad Friedel.

35 GOAL: Aston Villa 1 (Ciaran Clark 35) Tottenham 0.

34
Bit of a sore one for the American there as Villa come forward.

33
Villa have won just two games since the start of the year as Van der Vaart smashes the ball into Eric Lichaj's body.

32
Rafael Van der Vaart attempts to find the back of the net fdirect from the corner but Shay Given is very alert and claims the ball.

31

28
BRAVE DEFENDING! Spurs break and Rafael Van der Vaart looks to find Emmanuel Adebayor but Carlos Cuellar makes a superb challenge in the six-yard box.

27
Meanwhile, Arsenal fan Rui Tweets: "Need Villa to do us a favour Raz!" Well, they're playing pretty decent stuff today.

26
Villa fan Stuart Tweets: "Nine goals between the starting 11 in 36 games." Interesting stat Stuart.

25
Ciaran Clark makes a nice block from Bale's shot but the ball falls to Kyle Walker, although he blast his shot over the crossbar once again. He's getting closer!

24
Stephen Ireland makes a cracking challenge on Younes Kaboul as N'Zogbia comes back onto the field.

23
The former Wigan man has struggled to find his form this season and he's walking off the field to get some more medical attention.

22
Not looking good for Charles N'Zogbia, who is down on the ground holding his right leg.

21
At the other end Luka Modric's low drive is deflected out for a corner. The short corner finds Walker, but he fails to make the most of the opportunity as the ball dribbles out for a goalkick.

20
From the resulting free-kick Danny Rose flicks the ball out with his head for a corner but that comes to nothing. The fans show their support to Stan Petrov

19 YELLOW CARD: Younes Kaboul is booked for a late challenge on Emile Heskey.

18
Luka Modric is starting to run the show for Spurs in midfield and he looks for Bale and now Van der Vaart's shot is well blocked but it's one way traffic at the moment.

12
PENALTY SHOUT! Emile Heskey tumbles over Younes Kaboul's challenge in the box but referee Lee Probert waves away strong appeals from the striker.

10
Kyle Walker's loose pass is collected by Emile Heskey, but he gifts the ball back to Sandro in midfield.

9
The high ball across the box is collected by Alan Hutton but he fires his shot high, wide and handsome.

8
This has been a bright start from the home side as Charles N'Zogbia's cross is deflected away for a throw.

7
Villa are on the verge of recording just four home wins in a season if they don't win today and that would set an unwanted record.

6
Charles N'Zogbia gets stuck in with a fine tackle as he wins the ball back.

5
CLOSE FOR SPURS! Emmanuel Adebayor, who scored twice in midweek, fires his right-foot shot wide of the far post. Ok, maybe it wasn't that close, but a good effort nevertheless.

4
The left-foot inswinger is headed away by Gareth Bale and now Villa have the ball back but Richard Dunne's long ball forward is aimless.

3
Charles N'Zogbia finds a bit of space down the right, but his left-footed effort is deflected over the crossbar for a corner.

2
Villa keep a bit of early possession as Ciaran Clark and Stephen Ireland combine.

1
Tottenham are kicking from right to left this afternoon, so against a packed Holte End and both sets of supporters are in good voice.

1359
The pitch is in excellent condition for the final home game of the season and both teams are in their traditional kits in front of a full house.

1357
Tottenham can finish above Arsenal for the first time in 17 years. Agbonlahor is out with bruised ribs Villa fans. Brad Friedel and Kyle Walker return to face their former club.

1355
TOTTENHAM AMMENDMENT: Friedel, Walker, Gallas, Kaboul, Rose, Lennon, Sandro, Modric, Bale, Van der Vaart, Adebayor. SUBSTITUTES: Cudicini, Parker, Saha, Giovani, Defoe, Livermore, Nelsen.

1352
Meanwhile, Sam from Belfast says: "Think Spurs should demolish Villa today. An easy 5-1and fancy Newcastle to beat City to push Arsenal further down the table."

1351
Stuart is not a happy Villa fan, who Tweets: "One up front at home, pathetic end to dire season."

1350
Don't forget folks, if you'd like to air your views during the match, email Raz...that's me! at razwan.mirza@bskyb.com or Tweet me: @RazMirza and I'll publish as many as I can.

1348
Villa are without a win in their last eight league games with four defeats while Tottenham's win at Bolton in midweek was the club's first victory in nine Premier League away games. They are also unbeaten in their last three games at Villa Park, so the omens are good for the side from North London.

1345
Another email and this time it's from Adam, who says: "This is a big game for us (Spurs)! With Arsenal drawing yesterday this is our chance to go third! I predict an easy win 3-0!"

1342
Disgruntled Villa fan Dave emails in to say: "Hi Raz, can't see Villa getting anything out of this game as Spurs are a quality side. Here's hoping its the last time we see McLeish in the "home" dugout, I find it quite strange how people are saying don't protest and Dunne coming out with "we need your support" Well us as Villa fans need you to help yourselves and by what happened on Tuesday clearly ain't doing that. 0-3 Spurs. Bale, Van Der Vaart and Modric. It's going to be survival Sunday next week."

1340
And Dan says: "I think Spurs will win 2-1 and Newcastle to draw against Man City will see our well deserved third spot." Over the season Dan, I do feel you deserve that third spot more than any other club and trust me, that was very hard to say!

1338
Max emails me to say: "I think it will be a close match between these two teams. I am a Spurs supporter and Aston Villa is my second but I think Spurs will win a good 2-1." I'll tell you the truth Max, I'm a one club man and I'm pretty sure it will always be that way!

1333
Big Ears, who I believe is a Tottenham fan, Tweets: "Looks like Alex McLeish has gone for a very defensive line up. Hope we can break them down."

1330
Let's have a look at the latest odds before kick-off. Aston Villa are 3/1 to claim victory with @Skybet, who make Tottenham 10/11 and the draw 5/2. Villa's Emile Heskey is favourite to bag the first goal since August for the hosts at 10/1 while Charles N'Zogbia is also a 10/1 shot. Stephen Ireland is a good outside bet at 12/1 while Chris Herd is 20/1 and Stephen Ireland is 33/1 to score a brace. Meanwhile, Spurs' Emmanuel Adebayor is 5/1 and Rafael Van Der Vaart is 11/2 for the visitors. Gareth Bale is 14/1 to bag a brace and Luka Modric is 9/2 to score in 90 minutes. I'm going for a pre-match prediction of 1-3 to Spurs, which is 14/1. Head now to www.skybet.com to place your bets.

1325
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp keeps faith with the line-up which won 4-1 at Bolton in midweek, with fit-again midfielder Scott Parker amongst the substitutes.

1323
Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish includes midfielder Chris Herd - one of three players fined for their part in a nightclub fracas - in the side to face high flying Spurs. Defender James Collins, who was also disciplined, is again amongst the substitutes as he has not fully recovered from a groin problem. Striker Gabby Agbonlahor has been ruled out through injury and is replaced by Stephen Ireland.

1318
ASTON VILLA: Given, Hutton, Cuellar, Dunne, Warnock, Lichaj, Herd, Clark, N'Zogbia, Ireland, Heskey.

1318
SUBSTITUTIONS: Guzan, Collins, Delfouneso, Bannan, Weimann, Gardner, Carruthers.

1318
TOTTENHAM: Friedel, Dawson, Gallas, Kaboul, Rose, Lennon, Sandro, Modric, Bale, Van der Vaart, Adebayor.

1318
SUBSTITUTIONS: Cudicini, Parker, Saha, Giovani, Defoe, Livermore, Nelsen.

1317
REFEREE: Lee Probert (Wiltshire).

1317
Teams are in...

1316
Stuart doesn't want Villa fans protesting at the game today. He Tweets: "What's the point in protesting during the game? Won't help the players, that's why away form is better. Remember Newcastle?"

1313
Meanwhile David has emailed me all the way from Israel and he says. "Third place is entirely in our hands now and we wont be able to blame anyone else. 3-1 to Tottenham. And time to give Defoe a game or two so that he has a cance of getting into the England squad for the Euros."

1311
Paddy is first to Tweet in this afternoon and he says: "From a Villa fans perspective I don't think we can win this as Tottenham have performed well in there last games, whereas Villa.."

1309
Do you Spurs fans think you can claim third spot ahead of the Gunners? A win today would put you in charge and then it will all come down to the final day of the season and Fulham at White Hart Lane. Can you do it? Email Raz...that's me! at razwan.mirza@bskyb.com or Tweet me: @RazMirza and I'll publish as many as I can.

1307
Rafael van der Vaart maintains that Tottenham can still catch Arsenal and finish third in the Premier League this season. Tottenham recently went on a dismal run of one win in nine league games, but they have enjoyed a mini-revival of late, registering back-to-back wins over Blackburn and Bolton to move back in to the top four with two games left. "We are now only a point behind Arsenal, so anything is possible," the Dutchman told Spurs TV Online. "There are two games to go, but it feels like there is still a long way to go. We just have to concentrate on what we have to do at Villa."

1306
Villa legend Peter Withe has admitted he wants to manage the club. Withe told the Birmingham Sunday Mercury: "I don't want to talk about what is currently happening at the club, but I want to manage Aston Villa and there is no point in my disguising that fact. I had a fantastic nine or 10 years at that great club and it would be a dream for me to lead them, an absolute dream." Would you Villa fans like to see Withe in charge?

1305
A section of Villa fans also took out a small back page advert in the Birmingham Mail. The advert funded by website run by Villa fans stated: "We were really hoping never to say this but....WE TOLD YOU SO. 'Bright Future?"' But do you Villa fans feel it's a crucial time to get behind your team this afternoon or do you feel it's more important to make your feelings known to the hierarchy and McLeish? Send me your thoughts folks! Email Raz...that's me! at razwan.mirza@bskyb.com or Tweet me: @RazMirza and I'll publish as many as I can.

1303
Despite the threat of protests calling for his departure, Villa manager Alex McLeish believes his side will still do a lap of honour after the game to show their appreciation to the supporters. "I would like to think the players will thank the fans for their support regardless (of the protests) so that should be a given," McLeish said. "I don't think we're contemplating not taking points over the last two games. We've got to concentrate and focus on these last two games. That's certainly what I'm doing right now."

1302
Villa defender Richard Dunne has called on the fans who are planning a protest against manager Alex McLeish today to unite behind the team. The Claret and Blues have not won in their last eight games and are just three points above the relegation zone. To add to Villa's woes, midfielders Fabian Delph and Chris Herd and defender James Collins were disciplined internally by the club after they were involved in an altercation outside a nightclub in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Dunne hopes the Villa Park faithful will throw their support behind the team. "We need the supporters because they want to watch Premier League football next season. The best thing they can do is support us and whatever happens, happens after that," Dunne told the Birmingham Mail. "We just need the fans to stick with us. We know ourselves it's not been good enough at times, but the effort is always there."
