FT: Blackpool 1 West Ham 2

Full-time: That's it! West Ham are back in the Premier League. Huge disappointment for Blackpool after Ricardo Vaz Te's late winner.

90+4
Last chance for Blackpool and Collison appears to have committed a foul only for Howard Webb to play on - Reid edges out Dicko and the chance has gone.

90+3
Nolan and Cole trying to run the clock down on the left wing.

90+2
West Ham sitting deep while Blackpool hit the ball long. Not long for the Hammers to whole long and the Seasiders are desperate now.

90
There will be four minutes of added time.

90 Angel Martinez replaced by Dicko.

90 Dobbie is off for Bednar.

88 Vaz Te booked for removing his shirt in the celebrations.

A low ball into the box isn't dealt with and Cole causes a real handful getting in between Crainey and Gilks to shovel the ball free. It comes to Vaz Te who fires high into the vacant net. Blackpool weren't happy but, while messy, there wasn't a lot wrong with that from Cole.

87 Goal! Vaz Te!

86
Noble with a lofted free-kick from the halfway line finds the head of Tomkins. The centre-back tries to lob Gilks but it's just over the crossbar.

84
The ball comes back into the box, where Vaz Te chips the ball over Angel Martinez only for Evatt to close him down fast and nick the ball away.

84
Noble with a corner at the other end but it's cleared.

84
Dobbie with a free-kick effort low at Green and the Hammers keeper deals with it.

82
Collison has the chance to shoot in the area but chooses to wait and is crowded out. Dangerous times for both sides now. Any goal now you would feel could win this.

80
McCartney gets to the byline and finds Nolan at the far post. He sidefoots a volley hard at goal, but Gilks gets the slightest touch to help see the ball cannon back off the crossbar. So close for West Ham on the break!

78
Cole helps the ball on and nearly finds Collison but the midfielder's first touch takes him wide out towards the left flank. He cuts inside onto his favoured right-foot but drills a shot over the bar.

77
Still Blackpool dominate. Sylvestre playing deeper than Kevin Phillips means they are dominating the midfield completely. This attack ends with Ince ruled offside.

75
Patient build-up by Blackpool, starving West Ham of possession. After a good minute of keep-ball, Dobbie fires a shot at the near post and Green pushes wide for a corner.

73
Ince nearly gets beyond McCartney on the touchline inside the West Ham area but the full-back just finds a last-ditch tackle.

72
Cole with the chance to get the ball into his feet with his back to goal inside the area, but miscontrols.

71 Kevin Phillips is off, to be replaced by Ludovic Sylvestre.

70
Ince's corner comes to Evatt at the second attempt but is diverted away. It comes back to Baptiste but he blasts over the bar left-footed.

70
Dobbie's shot is deflected for a corner.

69
Vaz Te crosses from the right but it's a poor delivery and Gilks collects.

67
Eardley gets to the byline and cuts the ball back for Angel Martinez. The chance is a simple one - just stroke the ball home. But he completely messes it up, and the ball trickles wide of the post.

66
Here is Matt Phillips, latching onto Kevin Phillips' knockdown, but his half-volley is over the bar.

66
Faubert and McCartney providing much-needed energy in the full-back positions for the Hammers, where Ince and Matt Phillips were causing so many problems going the other way.

65
McCartney and Taylor engineer space for the latter down the left but his touch is poor and runs out of play.

63
Faubert finds the feet of Cole inside the Blackpool area. One touch to set up the shot and he fires the ball towards the bottom corner but Gilks is up to it and parries wide.

61
Clever one-two from Nolan and Taylor leads to confusion in the Blackpool boss. Vaz Te cuts inside when he could shoot, instead laying the ball off to Collison who mistimes his shot and the chance is gone.

60
Taylor with a whipped cross for Collison but he can only divert the ball wide. The Wales international appears to be feeling his shoulder and West Ham only have one substitution remaining.

59
Very even game now. West Ham seem to have regained their composure.

58
Taylor attempts a diagonal cross similar to the one that Cole latches onto for the opening goal. But this time it is too strong for Vaz Te.

57 Julien Faubert replaces the injured Guy Demel.

56
The Tangerines have 71% of possession so far in this second half.

55
Blackpool looking the brighter side now, buoyed by that equaliser.

McCartney will slot in at left-back and Taylor will push forward into midfield.

54 George McCartney is on to replace Gary O'Neil.

51
Martinez with the throughball this time for Dobbie in the left channel. He could shoot but instead tries to nutmeg Reid and open up the goal. Reid gets a shin to it and the chance is gone.

50
Chance! Blackpool on the attack again and Kevin Phillips lifts the ball over the defence for Baptiste. The defender forces the ball past Green but it's cleared off the line.

Ince has been booed by the West Ham fans for much of the game due to his father's connections with the Hammers. But that's the perfect response.

48 Goal! Thomas Ince! Cole loses the ball near the halfway line and Matt Phillips finds Ince with a right-footed diagonal cross. Ince slots home in a near repeat of West Ham's first-half opener.

46
West Ham on the attack but Collison is ruled to have fouled Crainey in the Blackpool area.

46
Blackpool kick-off and we're back underway. No changes from either side at the interval.

Half-time: Howard Webb blows the whistle and that's the end of the first half. Blackpool started brightly and had their moments but could not take their chances. It was a different story at the other end with Carlton Cole netting emphatically after good work from Matty Taylor.

45
One minute of added time.

44
Baptiste knocks the ball forward but that's to the head of Kevin Phillips and he can only flick it on to Green.

43
The subsequent deadball is lofted forward and West Ham only clear to the edge of the area and Angel Martinez. But the Blackpool midfielder blasts the bouncing ball high into the stands.

42
Vaz Te runs at Evatt but the defender deals with it before clearing to halfway where Kevin Phillips buys a cheap free-kick for a foul by Tomkins.

41
Noble tries a cute pass with the outside of his right-foot over the top of the defence but Cole had checked his run.

39
West Ham enjoying extended possession for the first time. Another cross tries to find Cole in the box but Gilks is up well to claim.

38
West Ham back in possession now. That could settle their nerves. Another angled ball finds Vaz Te in a mirror opposite of the Cole chance. Vaz Te is not so lethal on his left-foot though and he measures his effort just wide of the post.

Blackpool must be a little shell-shocked after such a good start but that was clinical in comparison to Matt Phillips' wasteful efforts earlier.

35 Goal! Carlton Cole! Ince is down appealing for a foul but Taylor is away with the ball. He gets a lucky bounce to beat two men but there's nothing lucky about his angled pass over the centre-backs and into the path of Cole, who fires home with Gilks stranded.

33
First attack from Blackpool in a while as Ince eludes two markers on the right before cutting the ball back for Crainey. The left-back attempts a side-footed shot but he's sent it way over the bar.

32
Noble's cross finds Tomkins who nods back across goal but the ball is cleared out of the six-yard box.

32
Vaz Te wins a fourth corner.

31
Three corners in quick succession now. West Ham a real threat from set-pieces.

30
Nolan spreads the ball wide to Taylor and that's a better cross by Taylor. Evatt is forced to concede a corner.

29
Baptiste charges forward as Blackpool attack but Ince loses the ball and there is a chance for West Ham to break. Cole is nearly away down the left channel but it's a brilliant challenge by the covering Angel Martinez.

28
Foul by Nolan in the centre circle.

27
Collison attempts a left-footed curler towards the far corner but he's got that one a little wrong and it's out for a goal-kick.

26
Another attempt to find Phillips but he's adjudged offside this time.

25
Poor pass from Angel Martinez nearly allows Vaz Te a clear run on goal but Baptiste is there with a saving challenge.

24
Better pressure from West Ham now. Blackpool reduced to knocking it long to Kevin Phillips and that's not working.

22
Noble engineers a one-two from the throw-in and curls an inswinging cross towards Cole, but the big striker can only head over.

21
Possession for West Ham down their left as Taylor and Vaz Te continue to probe for an opening.

20
Chance! First real threat from West Ham. Taylor helps the ball on towards Vaz Te who hooks the ball over to Cole in the centre. His lay-off is neat and the ball eventually comes back to Vaz Te who fires a shot into the sidenetting at the near post. Perhaps should have made the keeper work there.

19
Cole putting Evatt under pressure but the Blackpool defender deals with that courtesy of a nice turn to bring the ball away.

18
Vaz Te down the left, lays the ball back to Taylor. It's a chance for the cross but it's a poor one, straight at Gilks along the floor.

17
That's three openings for Blackpool. Hugely worrying times for West Ham, who have yet to get into this one at all. Green with a goal-kick now as they try to regroup.

15
Chance again! Demel has a bouncing ball to deal with and he doesn't do so. It allows Matt Phillips to run through on goal again. This time he checks the run down the left channel, cutting inside of two Hammers defenders before curling a shot just wide of Green... and the post. Will the Seasiders rue these misses?

14
Chance! More excellent football from Blackpool as one-touch play finds Matt Phillips running clean through on goal. He's one-on-one with Green but the ball appears to get stuck under his feet and it's a scuffed effort straight at the keeper.

13
Blackpool possession breaks down this time and West Ham immediately try to find Cole. He's offside on this occasion though.

11
Blackpool with 54% of the possession in the first 10 minutes. A composed start but they'll be wary of West Ham's goal power.

10
Cole feeds Vaz Te on the left flank and the Hammers forward takes the opportunity to run at the full-back. He chooses to go on the outside and shoot from a narrow angle but blazes wide. Probably the wrong option but a reminder of the threat Vaz Te can pose.

9
Excellent play by Blackpool again. Pulling West Ham out of position with a series of neat interchanges before Noble tackles Dobbie successfully on the edge of the area.

8
Ball is crossed from the right by West Ham and it nearly comes out to Taylor on the half-volley but he cannot control and the chance is gone.

6
Impressive from Blackpool again. They've been the team that have got the ball down. West Ham yet to enjoy a spell of possession but have tried the throughball to Vaz Te on several occasions already. Not got it quite right just yet.

5
Good start with both sides looking bright. Blackpool trying to calm things a little by keeping the ball for a period.

4
Cole with the ball on the left-wing for West Ham but his centre is wasted with nobody in the box.

That was an impressive save. The shot was well-struck from close range in the right channel by Dobbie.

3
Chance! Then a diagonal ball finds Dobbie and Green saves onto the post. Escape for the Hammers.

3
That's better though. Dobbie with a neat ball in behind Taylor for Ince to chase and the young winger earns a throw-in.

2
Blackpool launch the ball forward but it's fairly aimless and gives an early touch for Green.

1
Nolan nearly finds Cole immediately but the through-ball is just too strong.

1
West Ham kick-off and the Championship play-off final is underway.

Thanks for all your feedback. The players are on the pitch and we'll be underway very soon.

I am not so sure Kevin Phillips starting is the way Ian Holloway would have wanted it. The old-stager would have enjoyed being fresh once this one opened up a bit in the wide open spaces of Wembley. As it is, it's hard to see him still on the pitch at the end - this one could go 120 minutes, remember.

Ciaran: "With Kevin Phillips in the starting line-up Blackpool are definitely Premier league bound. Always in the right place at the right time."

Mark: "3-1 Blackpool. Cole to open it up early. But Blackpool to come back with Ince, Dobbie and Phillips. Nice way for Kev to finish."

Paolo: "From a Fulham fan to all West Ham fans. Good luck today and we await your return next year. West Ham 3-1."

Glen: "Just about to listen to it in Perth, Western Australia, where it is nearly 10pm and the butterflies have started. West Ham all the way back to the Premier League! Up The Hammers!"

Blackpool are unbeaten in nine games, while West Ham boast the best record in the Championship away from their own ground.

Mathew: "I think West Ham will win and get the promotion to the Premier League after relegation last season. If they don't win I will be disappointed! COYIs!! Everyone believing in you!"

Conor: "A team like West Ham need to be in the Premier League, so I say 3-1 (Vaz Te x2, Nolan x1)."

David: "Saw Palace beat West Ham in the play-off final in Cardiff a few years ago.. Hammers should have walked it. Pressure is a terrible thing! Def extra time; penalties?"

Liam: "Stephen Dobbie in my opinion is gonna be the match winner! 2-1 win in 90 minutes!!!!"

Those previous results this season are intriguing aren't they. West Ham have put four past Blackpool in the previous two meetings this season. Surely not a third time?

Alfie: "West Ham have a strong team. But Blackpool are a good team. 4-0 and 4-1 in previous results. Going to do it again. COYI."

Jamie: "Done my flutter. West Ham win 3-1, Cole first goalscorer."

Adam says: "From a Reading fan, I was hoping for an away trip to the seaside, but I think Vaz Te is just too good. I think 2-1 West Ham."

Willy: "I fancy Blackpool for this one, pressure is on West Ham and I think they will crack."

Having seen the teams, is there anyone in particular you think will have a say in this one? You can email me direct on adam.bate@bskyb.com and you can Tweet me: @GhostGoal.

West Ham name an unchanged team but there is a surprise in the Blackpool line-up with Gary Taylor-Fletcher missing out through an ankle injury. He is replaced by 38-year-old former England striker Kevin Phillips.

Blackpool: Gilks; Baptiste, Eardley, Evatt, Crainey; M.Phillips, Ferguson, Angel, Ince; Dobbie, K.Phillips.Subs: Cathcart, Sylvestre, Southern, Dicko, Bednar.

West Ham: Green; Demel, Reid, Tomkins, Taylor; Collison, Noble, Nolan, O'Neil; Vaz Te, Cole.Subs: Henderson, Faubert, McCartney, Lansbury, Maynard.

Brandon: "I think old super Kev will come on and score a last-minute goal." ... You could be in for a surprise, Brandon.

Fraser: "Bye bye West Ham. Blackpool going up. FT 3-2 Blackpool."

The teams are in and will be up shortly.

Our friends at Sky Bet have the latest odds for this one if you fancy a flutter. They make West Ham favourites here at 10/11 with Blackpool 11/4 outsiders. The draw is available at 14/5.

I look forward to hearing from you and I'll try to post as many of your thoughts, opinions and reaction as I can.
