The npower League One side took the lead in the 19th minute when Terry Gornell converted from close range and they doubled their advantage four minutes before half-time with Marvin Morgan's shot taking a deflection of Christophe Berra and leaving Dorus De Vries stranded.

Sylvan Ebanks-Blake cut the deficit six minutes into the second half with a shot which also took a deflection before Doumbia, signed on a season-long loan from Rennes, levelled with 17 minutes remaining with a fine solo effort.
