Bradshaw: Could start for Shrewsbury

Graham Turner is unlikely to make any changes to his Shrewsbury team, despite their 1-0 defeat to Sheffield United at the weekend.

With no new injury concerns or suspensions, Turner will place faith in his side to pick up their first points of the season.

The Shrews are yet to score this season, however, after losing 4-0 to Leeds in the Capital One Cup, and the Shrewsbury manager has a number of options should he seek to remedy his lack of firepower.

Tom Bradshaw made a substitute appearance at Bramall Lane, while fellow striker and Wales Under-19 colleague Ryan Doble was not included in the squad.

Turner's men will attempt to bounce back from their opening-day setback and can take hope from their performance at the weekend.

After going behind early to former Shrewsbury striker David McAllister's fourth-minute volley, the visitors pushed their promotion-chasing opponents all the way.

John Mousinho and Jack King are injury doubts for Preston.

North End skipper Mousinho limped off after an hour of Saturday's goalless draw with Colchester, while fellow midfielder King suffered a head injury during the same match but trained on Monday.

Should either man fail to recover to boss Graham Westley's satisfaction, John Welsh could make his full Lilywhites debut after joining from Tranmere in the summer.

New recruit Akpo Sodje would provide a more attacking option having been granted international clearance following his move from China.

Lee Holmes will be given every chance to recover from a leg injury sustained during last week's Capital One Cup triumph over Huddersfield, with David Buchanan poised to continue on the left wing.

Former Stevenage midfielder Joel Byrom is pushing for a place in the matchday squad after shaking off a hamstring complaint.
