And breathe... that really was a thrilling second half, with West Brom deserving of a point, despite being dominated for the first three-quarters of the match. Thanks for joining me today. Feel free to follow me on Twitter @ianwatson1, and enjoy the rest of your weekend.
TOTTENHAM 1 WEST BROM 1 - Morrison's injury-time equaliser denies Villas-Boas his first victory as manager of Spurs.
Vertonghen has the ball in the West Brom net, but the whistle had long since gone for an infringement by Gallas.
We're into the second of four added minutes. West Brom look the most likely winners now...
Gallas cleared another effort off the line, but it's third time lucky for West Brom as Morrison capitalises on chaos in the Spurs defence to calmly roll the ball home from inside the box!
90 JAMES MORRISON EQUALISES FOR WEST BROM!
OFF THE LINE! Assou-Ekotto diverts McAuley's header on to the crossbar after a West Brom corner caused panic in the Spurs box. So close to an equaliser for West Brom!
West Brom are committing men forward and Spurs are finding space behind. Foster, on this occasion, has to get down low to push away a Bale curler.
GREAT BLOCK! Vertonghen is turned inside-out by Lukaku in the Spurs box but, as the Belgian striker pulls the trigger, Vertonghen slides in to make a valuable block. Lukaku has been superb since he came on and appears to be Spurs' biggest threat.
78 West Brom also make two changes: Rosenberg and Brunt have replaced Dorrans and Fortune.
76 A flurry of changes either side of the goal: Sigurdsson replaced Sandro seconds before Assou-Ekotto's goal, after which Jenas replaced Defoe.
Assou-Ekotto collects a loose ball after a corner is cleared and unleashes a terrific half-volley which is deflected on its way past Foster. Spurs get a break!
74 ASSOU-EKOTTO SCORES FOR SPURS!
Bale, who has been quiet since the break, unleashes a 30-yard drive, which is dipping and swerving and has to be beaten away by Foster. Better from Spurs
West Brom have had 85% of the possession during the last five minutes, with Friedel having to make two superb saves. Spurs have been knocked out of their stride.
ANOTHER FINE SAVE! Friedel has to sprint off his line to block Fortune's effort after the West Brom forward had escaped behind the Spurs defence. It's end-to-end, but West Brom clearly fancy their chances here.
GREAT SAVE! Moments after Defoe's disallowed strike, Lukaku runs at the Spurs defence, who back off far enough to allow the West Brom substitute to get a shot off. It looks destined for the bottom corner, but Friedel gets down to brilliantly tip the ball around the post. Great effort, wonderful stop!
DISALLOWED GOAL! Tottenham's Defoe hits the back of the net from close range, but is rightly flagged for offside.
63 West Brom also make a change, and it's also a striker coming on. Lukaku replaces Long, who doesn't look happy. Lukaka immediately runs at Gallas, but promptly falls over!
63 It's Adebayor time! Perhaps surprisingly, it's van der Vaart who makes way as Villas-Boas opts for a two-pronged attack.
Long's header drifts harmlessly wide after a set-piece delivery from the right. Fortune then balloons one high over the bar. West Brom growing in confidence.
With Adebayor having a stretch, Defoe drives at the box after being fed by Livermore, but the England striker pulls his shot wide from 20 yards. Disappointing.
ANOTHER FINE SAVE! This time from Friedel, who has to parry Dorrans' effort after a driving run from the West Brom midfielder. Might that give the Baggies some encouragement?
FINE SAVE! Assou-Ekotto's culing free-kick from the edge of the box is superbly tipped over the bar by Foster. Decent effort, great save. Foster then catches van der Vaart's corner.
Van der Vaart lands a beautiful pass on to the chest of Bale in the box but, as the ball bounces up around his waist, the winger slices a right-footed shot way off target. Delightful pick-out from van der Vaart, though.
James Morrison delivers an inswinging free-kick for West Brom, but it is over-hit and drifts out beyond the far post. Set pieces have been really poor up to now.
48 Vertonghen goes into the book for a foul on Fortune on the corner of the box. Good opportunity for West Brom...
Tottenham get the second half underway, with neither side making any changes at the break. Adebayor stays on the sidelines for now.
Tottenham 0 West Brom 0 - Tottenham dominated but van der Vaart and Vertonghen wasted the hosts' best opportunities. Entertaining game, but goalless.
Vertonghen has to intercept as Fortune threatens to get in goal-side for West Brom, moments before Baggies keeper Foster fields a simple shot from Defoe.
A spell of pinball around the West Brom box results in a Spurs corner, which Bale lands on to the head of the first defender. There are one or two signs of impatience from some Spurs supporters, and @bradboi1996 wants Adebayor on as soon as possible. As @stevenmayatt suggests, Spurs could have done with scoring while they were so dominant. West Brom will be delighted to get to half-time with a clean sheet.
Van der Vaart shoots high and wide. As free-kicks go, we've seen two terrible efforts - one for either side - in the last five minutes.
A beautiful triangle between Walker, van der Vaart and Lennon puts Lennon in down the right but West Brom clear again. Van der Vaart is now stood over a free-kick in a dangerous position...
West Brom have a shot on goal, and it's a shocker as Steven Reid's 30-yard free-kick drifts high and wide of the Spurs goal. The Baggies had their big men in the box, so perhaps a shot was wrong choice.
@jordangay10 isn't happy, and understandably so. He's Tweeted: "plenty of angry spurs fans stuck on the M11! Orient game gets postponed because of this reason, spurs doesn't! #joke"
28 The first caution of the afternoon goes to Mulumbu for tugging back Defoe. The West Brom midfielder isn't happy, but it was the right call.
The sound of applause rings around White Hart Lane as the Spurs fans pay tribute to Ledley King, who retired in the summer. The former skipper, who is sitting in the crowd and looks somewhat embarrassed, wore 26 on the back of his jersey before finally succumbing to the knee injury which plagued his fine career.
CHANCE: Vertonghen blows his big moment! The Belgian defender combined well with Bale, but when Yacob failed to clear the winger's low cross, Vertonghen volleyed over from the penalty spot. Great opportunity for a debut goal.
After kicking off in sunshine, the rain has now been pouring down for the last 10 minutes or so. West Brom had a throw deep inside the Spurs half, but the ball ends up back at Foster's feet as the Baggies get a feel for the ball which Spurs have kept for the opening quarter of the match.
As is probably apparent, Tottenham are well on top here, with the wide areas giving them a lot of joy. West Brom could do with a spell of possession to take the sting out of Spurs, but Clarke's men can't keep it at the moment.
CHANCE: More superb football from Spurs, with Walker's pass inside the West Brom left-back putting Lennon into the box. Lennon pulls back for van der Vaart, but his first-time shot is wide of the near post.
Bale and Lennon finally combine, after the Welshman was sent clear on the left by a fine pass from van der Vaart. The Welshman's low delivery is controlled by Lennon, who'd come off the right flank into the centre, but his left foot shot is dragged horribly wide.
Bale beats Mulumbu on the left, but his low cross fails to find anyone in a white shirt. Defoe had pulled out but Lennon, again, failed to attack the space. Spurs well on top here.
Walker bombs forward from full-back and pulls the ball back towards the edge of the box, but van der Vaart volleys high of the bar.
Defoe shoots from the edge of the box, but McAuley gets in a fine block. Bale picks up the loose ball and whips in a superb cross from the left, but Lennon is back on his heels at the far post and the ball drifts out for a throw-in.
James Morrison is having some treatment on a foot problem. He seems to be okay to continue.
Bale has his first run at the West Brom defence and gets the first shot off, but he scuffs the ball wide of the post from outside the box.
Handshakes and huddles done, West Brom get us underway...
Last couple of predictions before kick-off: Andrew Flowerdew feels Tottenham will win 2-1; @Andrewmcd can see the reverse, with West Brom earning their first victory at White Hart Lane in 28 years. The teams are coming out. Let's see, shall we?
Villas-Boas has just been presented to the crowd, alongside his new signings, Adebayor, Vertonghen and Sigurdsson. The quartet received a predictably warm welcome. There is a really positive atmosphere here at White Hart Lane - will it last?
The two sets of players are heading back to the changing rooms after their warm-up to make some final preparations. Romelu Lukaku had a warm hug for Villas-Boas, so the ex-Chelsea manager didn't alienate everyone at Stamford Bridge, so it would seem...
@thisismonkixx has had a flutter, going with Vertonghen to open the scoring in a 2-0 home win. Sky Bet will give you odds of 75/1 if you fancy doing the same.
For the Baggies, Shane Long caused havoc among the Liverpool defence last week. Can he give Vertonghen and Gallas similar problems? He's 9/1 to score the first goal this afternoon.
Defoe has a good record against West Brom, having scored in his last three Premier League appearances against the Baggies. Our friends at Sky Bet are offering 6/5 for Defoe to score in a Spurs victory.
Don't forget, you can Tweet me @ianwatson1, which is exactly what @granty1664 has done. He thinks van der Vaart and Defoe will get themselves on the scoresheet. Emmanuel Adebayor is on the Spurs bench today, so Defoe could certainly do with another goal after his strike at Newcastle last week.
Thanks to those of you who have got in touch already. Tottenham fans Steve Elliott, Sammy Parker and James Walters are optimistic of a home win this afternoon, but Jason Mills fancies the Baggies to nick a 2-1 victory.
The two sets of substitutes this afternoon are: Spurs: Cudicini, Naughton, Jenas, Sigurdsson, Adebayor, Townsend, Caulker; West Brom: Myhill, Rosenberg, Brunt, Lukaku, Gera, Dawson, Jones.
There is no Peter Odemwingie in the West Brom squad, with Steve Clarke bringing Marc-Antoine Fortune and Graham Dorrans into the side that beat Liverpool 3-0. Zoltan Gera drops to the bench. Is that a harsh call after his stunning opening goal last week?
For his first home game in charge of Tottenham, Andre Villas-Boas has recalled Rafael van der Vaart in favour of Gylfi Sigurdsson, while debutant Jan Vertonghen replaces the injured Younes Kaboul at the heart of the defence.
West Brom: Foster, Reid, McAuley, Olsson, Ridgewell, Mulumbu, Yacob, Morrison, Fortune, Long, Dorrans
Tottenham: Friedel, Walker, Vertonghen, Gallas, Assou-Ekotto, Sandro, Livermore, Lennon, Bale, van der Vaart, Defoe.
The teamsheets are in...
