The Accies held the Glasgow side goalless until the 41st minute, when Kevin Cuthbert made a superb save to prevent an own goal by Jon McShane, but Sean Welsh was on hand to nod in from point blank range.

New Jags signing Steven Craig the struck twice after half-time and Steven Lawless then put the game well beyond the Hoops.

The fourth goal was very poor, with Craig blocking a kickout from Cuthbert and the ball flying into the net.
