Bidwell: In line for first start

Brentford have no new injury problems for the visit of Colchester.

Midfielders Toumani Diagouraga and Kevin O'Connor came off nursing slight knocks during last weekend's 2-2 draw at Walsall but manager Uwe Rosler says everyone is available.

The only absentee is Stuart Dallas, who yet to make an appearance for the Bees so far. The winger is on international duty with Northern Ireland's Under-21's.

Jake Bidwell is pushing to replace Scott Barron at left-back after his successful introduction as a substitute on Saturday.

The 19-year-old is in line for his first start since rejoining the Bees on loan from Everton.

On-loan Norwich midfielder Tom Adeyemi was an unused sub at Walsall and is hoping to make his debut.

John Ward will be pondering changes for Colchester.

The U's boss watched his side put in a positive first-half performance against Tranmere last weekend before being blown away after the break to go down 4-0 at Prenton Park.

Ward and his squad have had this week to mull over the heavy defeat and changes are inevitable at Griffin Park.

Ian Henderson, Gavin Massey, John-Joe O'Toole and Kem Izzet are among those in contention to start, while youngster Freddie Ladapo could earn a place in the matchday 18 having bagged for the club's reserves for the third successive match in midweek.

Colchester remain without a win in any competition from their five games so far this season.
