What a chance for Arsenal! Cazorla sets up Giroud and his first touch is top drawer but his finish is only into the side netting.

Four minutes of stoppage time to be played.

Cazorla fires another effort over but in fairness he isn't too far off from finding the top left corner after Walcott's pull-back.

Arteta concedes a foul on Ivanovic as Chelsea continue to look strong in defence with the Gunners left with just a few minutes to pull themselves level.

Moses goes for power from Torres' knock-down but it's power over precision as the ball flies over the bar.

Gervinho fumes as the linesman's flag raises to catch him offside. Replays show the striker had marginally skipped past the Chelsea back four.

Mata walks off after a superb shift to be replaced by Bertrand.

Arsenal hit the post! Koscielny's header glances the woodwork with Vermaelen then caught offside as he tried to keep the attack alive.

Another solid cross from Chamberlain eludes his team-mates, with Arteta collecting on the left before drawing a needless foul from Ramires.

Chelsea sub now as Cahill replaces the enigmatic Luiz.

Koscielny takes Mata's shot to the face, as well as Giroud's face, and the Arsenal defender is down in some distress.

Chamberlain concedes possession poorly as Mikel intercepts and plays Chelsea forward. Mata then goes down right on the edge of the box under Gibbs' challenge.

Chamberlain hogs the right side and finds space before crossing in with Terry again positioned excellently to clear. Gibbs then goes for goal from range but continues the trend of long-range efforts sailing over the bar.

Mata looks to cap off a superb move with a chip to Torres but Koscielnty gets in the way, as Arsenal look to break with Gervinho tackled a little easily by Mikel.

Gibbs makes a superb tackle on Torres but Hazard shows great desire to win it back. He can't find Mata in the box and Arsenal clear away after being on the back foot momentarily.

Ramsey is replaced by Walcott while Podolski comes off for Giroud in a double Arsenal swap.

Chamberlain fires in a speculative drive but Mikel is on hand to clear, before Gibbs' cross from the left is poked wide for a corner by Luiz.

Torres collects the ball after an Arsenal move breaks down. Oscar is the man to then shoot from 25 yards with Vermaelen bravely taking the brunt of the shot on his back.

After some scrambling Chelsea clear before Gervinho is caught offside after a pass from midfield. It certainly looks like they'll be more goals in this game the way both teams are attacking.

Ramsey looks for the run of Podolski but he can't manoeuvre it past Terry. Cole then trips Jenkinson on the edge of the area and Arsenal win the free-kick in a dangerous area.

Vermaelen throws himself into Oscar's free-kick, taking quite a hit in the process but he's back up as Chelsea continue to look strong since going ahead again.

Cech makes a terrfic save! Podolski's header to the far post is looping into the net until the Chelsea keeper palms it away to safety.

Mata's pass unfortunately catches Ramires on the back as the midfielder made a run that caught Gibbs blind.

The referee insists a Chelsea free-kick is taken from the right spot, forcing Cech to waste at least 30 seconds finding the correct area of the pitch. Bizarre scenes to say the least.

Excellent tracking back from Torres as the striker breaks up Arsenal's attack deep into his own half to win back the ball for his side.

Cazorla is felled as Mikel looks to retrieve the ball after losing control and the hosts win a free-kick.

Mata's free-kick completely eludes the Arsenal defence, catching Mannone unaware as well as it clips Koscielny and whistles into the net. Chelsea lead again!

Gervinho is in the thick of it again, but he can't spot Ramsey's run down the left and plays back to Jenkinson whose cross is blocked by Cole.

Brilliant work again from Podolski as he picks up Gibbs' pass before cutting the ball across goal. It falls to Cazorla once more but he stabs an effort into the side netting.

Gervinho is found by Ramsey, the striker holding up the ball until playing in Cazorla who gets it all wrong with a shot from distance.

Another Chelsea set piece looks to throw Arsenal into trouble but the ball sails over everyone in the end until Luiz dives in the box and picks up a booking.

Impressive work from Podolski sees him advance into Chelsea's penalty area but a timely challenge from Luiz throws him off as the attack breaks down.

Arsenal get the game back underway.

Arsenal really struggled for 25 minutes but the arrival of Oxlade-Chamberlain sparked them into life and a tense, exciting game is level at the break. Send your second half predictions to jack.woodfield@bskyb.com

HALF TIME. Arsenal 1 Chelsea 1.

A Mata cross from the left finds Hazard, but as Mata cuts back in he looses sight of a return pass and Vermaelen cuts in to win possession.

Three minutes of added time to be played.

Chelsea are suddenly looking very vulnerable as Arsenal press every channel looking to probe for a second. Gervinho is then penalised for a lunge on Oscar though and Chelsea get a reprieve.

Chelsea are awarded a free-kick as Ramsey clatters into Cole after a period of sustained pressure from the hosts with the half-time whistle looming.

It's a really good goal from Arsenal. A passing move concludes with Oxlade-Chamberlain firing into the path of Gervinho, who was poorly marked it has to be said, before firing a stunner past Cech. 1-1 and game on!

Ramsey lies in pain after a poor tackle from Torres. He hobbles off shortly after but should continue from the looks of things.

Chamberlain finds Cazorla divinely, catching the Chelsea defence off guard, but a cluster of bodies get in the way of the Spaniard's shot and end up clearing the danger.

It's one too many fouls from Oscar. He picks up a booking for his latest indiscretion on Arteta.

Hazard shows incredible skill and poise to stop the ball and then cross in from the right. Vermaelen clears, but Mikel fancies his luck and has a drive which somewhat predictably sails over from 30 yards.

Oscar fumes after yet another challenge is deemed a foul by the referee. Fortunately for the Chelsea midfielder though, Ramsey ends up finding only the hands of Cech.

Ramsey and Oscar meet in a hefty collision which sees both men hobbling with a yellow card for the Arsenal man.

Ivanovic missed the delivery but Terry is there to cover him, as Oxlade-Chamberlain's ball is then claimed confidently from the right by Cech.

Jenkinson shows his vast improvements as a defender by calmly plays his way out of trouble. Moments later, Oscar fouls Gibbs on the left before Gervinho wins a corner.

Jenkinson takes on Cole for pace and succeeds to an extent, playing the ball off into the path of Vermaelen who goes for glory from range but ends up firing miserably over.

Mata plays through Torres but as the striker prepares to let rip the linesman raises his flag for offside.

A brilliant cross from Gibbs gives Gervinho a golden chance at the far post but he heads across goal straight into the path of Terry who chests it down for Cech to claim.

Ramires makes a surging run forward and looks almost surprised in the end to win his side a corner.

Koscielny gets himself into a pickle from Mata's delivery and Torres sticks a foot out and guides the ball into the net from close range. 1-0 Chelsea!

Vermaelen is caught out by Chelsea's movement as Hazard and Torres combine, the former being clattered by the Arsenal captain and a free-kick is given.

Cole clatters through Gervinho but surprisingly perhaps the referee does not award the free-kick which would have been on the edge of the area.

That change is made and Oxlade-Chamberlain takes to the field.

Both teams continue to struggle with that killer ball into the box as Arteta strides forward before conceding possession to Mikel.

Diaby looks to have picked up a knock and Oxlade-Chamberlain is the man who will be his replacement early on here.

Gervinho puts Terry under pressure, before Ramsey nips in and steals the ball from Cole. His ball into the box is poor though as Terry volleys clear.

Vermaelen charges forward from the back as Arsenal look to break forward. Terry ends up clearing again and Chelsea earn a reprieve when Arteta fouls Mata.

Diaby tracks back to challenge Oscar precisely, linking up play as Arsenal bomb forward, the midfielder then the man to take a pop which ends up safely in Cech's arms.

Lovely stuff from Gervinho as he holds up the ball awaiting options before playing in Cazorla who fires over the bar from 20 yards. A really good move from the hosts.

Gibbs looks for Gervinho entering the penalty box but Ivanovic spots the run and reacts well to clear away the cross.

Chelsea exchange passes threateningly in Arsenal's half before Koscielny robs Torres nearly the touchline to a hearty roar from the Arsenal faithful.

Cole again drifts forward from the left, with Mata looking to play him in with a cross from range that narrowly misses his team-mates' run, Goal-kick to Arsenal.

Ramsey goes for the spectacular with a drive from range. It's not troubling Cech though and the Chelsea keeper watches it sail over the bar.

Gibbs impresses to win the ball from Mikel and then take the ball up the line as Arsenal attack. The ball falls to Jenkinson on the right moments later and his cross is cleared well by Terry.

Torres whips a dangerous ball into the box but it's some way away from a Chelsea team-mate and in the end it rolls out of play.

Hazard wins a free-kick in Arsenal's half, and the always adventurous Luiz is the man who steps up. He drives straight into the arms of Mannone though.

Gervinho turns away from Mikel but is then felled in a clash that isn't recognised as a foul by the referee as play continues.

The sun is shining and Chelsea get us underway.

There's lots of you predicting a goal fest today and as the players complete the pre-match handshake we're moments away from kicking off here.

Luke Saxton writes: "I am definitely seeing this game as a thriller, plenty to prove for both teams who both contain some exceptionally skilled and quick players. Inevitable comparisons between Cazorla & Hazard to be drawn. Arsenal may edge it 3-2 will Walcott being the hero! However I feel a 2-2 drawled likely."

Manny writes: "Not a gunner or Chelsea fan but gutted im at work and missing this game, Chelsea will have a real test against a team who are playing some lovely football, it felt at one point arsenal were the home team against city, if Gervinho had his shooting boots on who knows what score it would have been. Chelsea on other hand this is their real first test of the prem league season, after some fairly "easy" fixtures if that's the correct term to use, they were shown the real test in Europe firstly against Athletico Madrid then a top side in Juventus, Arsenal you can say are just as good or even better. Im predicting either a draw or a Arsenal win. Lets hope it's a draw and man united take advantage against spurs to end on top of the table."

The referee for today's clash is Martin Atkinson (W Yorkshire).

Chelsea: Cech, Ivanovic, Luiz, Terry, Cole, Mikel, Ramires, Oscar, Hazard, Mata, Torres. Subs: Turnbull, Romeu, Lampard, Moses, Cahill, Azpilicueta, Bertrand.
