Doyle: Returns for Sheffield United

Sheffield United skipper Michael Doyle and Ryan Flynn are both back in contention following suspension.

Midfielder Doyle is expected to return to the starting line-up in place of David McAllister, while winger Flynn may have to settle for a place on the substitutes' bench.

Both players have completed three-game bans following respective straight red cards received in the recent draw at Scunthorpe.

Defender Jean-Francois Lecsinel is closing in on his first appearance of the season following a long-term knee injury, but is not yet ready.

Manager Danny Wilson, who has no new injury or suspension problems, is likely to retain Dave Kitson up front alongside Nick Blackman, but Chris Porter and John Cofie are pushing for recalls.

The Blades have made an unbeaten start to their league campaign after eight matches.

Notts County are waiting to see if Alan Sheehan will recover from his hamstring injury in time for the game.

The left-back has missed the last three matches with the complaint, with Carl Regan filling in during the draws at Oldham and MK Dons and last weekend's home win over Portsmouth.

Andre Boucaud will serve the final game of a three-match ban at Bramall Lane on Saturday.

Fellow midfielder Jamal Campbell-Ryce is in contention to start in south Yorkshire after impressing from the bench against Pompey.

Lee Hughes and Enoch Showunmi are likely to be among the subs again, given the form of Yoann Arquin and Francois Zoko.

The strikers have scored three League One goals apiece so far this season.
