Dean: In contention for Bees

Harlee Dean will be hoping to return to the Brentford defence.

The former Southampton centre-half was missing from the side held 0-0 at home by Shrewsbury on Tuesday night, with Leon Legge earning a recall in his place.

Boss Uwe Rosler revealed afterwards the 21-year-old had not been dropped but rested after a hectic start to the season.

Strikers Clayton Donaldson and Farid El Alagui will be sweating on their places after drawing another blank with Paul Hayes waiting in the wings.

Midfielder Adam Forshaw is playing on despite an abdominal problem and should continue, while left-back Scott Barron is close to shaking off an ankle knock and could be added to the bench.

Crawley face being with out three centre-halves.

Claude Davis is the latest casualty after he was forced off at half-time against Bournemouth on Tuesday with a recurrence of his thigh injury.

Davis is set for another three weeks on the sidelines while Kyle McFadzean (hip) and Shaun Cooper (groin) are still struggling with injuries and are not expected to be fit in time.

Joe Walsh and Mark Connolly, both 20, finished the 3-1 midweek win over the Cherries in the centre of defence and are set to start, although Charlie Wassmer is another option.

Town should otherwise be unchanged after climbing to third with Nicky Adams and skipper Gary Alexander lining up against their former club.
