Spencer: Could make Bees bow

Spencer: Could make Bees bow

Brentford have no new injury problems as they welcome Coventry.

But manager Uwe Rosler may look to make changes as the Bees saw their six-game unbeaten league run come to an end following a defeat against Doncaster at the weekend.

On-loan striker Jimmy Spencer may be handed his debut in attack.

The 20-year-old arrived from Huddersfield on a one-month deal and is pushing for a start against the Sky Blues after being an unused substitute at Doncaster.

Farid El Alagui remains the only injury problem at the club. The forward is sidelined for a lengthy period after suffering a serious knee injury in a collision with Crawley goalkeeper Paul Jones during their league meeting.

Cody McDonald and Steven Jennings are pushing for recalls as Coventry boss Mark Robins prepares to freshen up his starting XI for the first time in four games.

Robins named an unchanged line-up for the third successive occasion on Saturday and watched a flat City side undone 2-1 at home to Notts County.

Changes are now on the agenda at Griffin Park and striker McDonald and midfielder Jennings, effective second-half substitutes against the Magpies, are at the front of the queue.

Chris Hussey, who played the final 12 minutes, could also get a look in after Robins spoke post-match of the need for a greater attacking impetus from his full-backs.

James Bailey, who battled through a stomach bug to start on Saturday, Callum Ball, Carl Baker and Jamie Reckord are among those who could well make way.
