Moore: Long-term absentee

AFC Wimbledon will be without the services of Sammy Moore against the league leaders.

The midfielder faces over three months on the sidelines after a scan revealed a small fracture at the top of his shin, an injury sustained against Fleetwood last weekend.

Moore duly missed the 3-1 win over Bristol Rovers on Tuesday night - a pleasing result which ended the Dons' four-game losing run at home - but his replacement Rashid Yussuff impressed and is expected to keep his place in the starting XI.

The Dons are expected to go with the same players that beat the Gasheads, although Mat Mitchel-King and Callum McNaughton are now back in training and pressing for a return to the squad.

Injured pair Dale Bennett and Pim Balkestein are still thought to be a couple of weeks away from returning to contention.

Gillingham are nursing a couple of knocks and manager Martin Allen is again giving nothing away as to the identities of those affected but did admit a few players are being assessed having suffered niggling injuries in Tuesday's 2-1 defeat at Torquay.

Full-back Joe Martin was forced off at half-time at Plainmoor, suggesting he could be one of those facing a fitness battle.

Midfielder Charlie Lee is yet to return to the fold as he looks to recover from a leg injury and it remains to be seen whether he will do so at Kingsmeadow, where the Gills will be backed by around 1,000 travelling supporters.

Defeat to the Gulls saw Gillingham lose their unbeaten away record while their second defeat of the season resulted in their lead at the top of League Two being cut to two points.

Meanwhile, Allen has secured the services of Frenchman Romain Vincelot on a two-month loan from Championship outfit Brighton.

The versatile defender should be available to make his debut on Saturday afternoon.
