The points were shared In a lacklustre match where both sides cancelled each other out over the 90 minutes.

Very few chances were created in the bitter wind and rain at Victoria Road.

Dagenham came closest from Matthew Saunders' 30-yard effort that beat Aldershot goalkeeper goalkeeper Jamie Young only clip the top of the crossbar. After the break, Luke Howell had his shot saved by Young's legs.

Dean Holdsworth's side created very few chances in the match with Adam Makki having a free-kick parried away by Chris Lewington in the first half.

Danny Hylton had a glorious opportunity to take the lead 10 minutes into the second period after some poor Dagenham defending but the 23 year-old toe-poked wide.
